ecSRO launcher problem

before you refer me to whichever thread that has a remedy for all the common issues related to ecsro, please hear me out.

i want to start by saying i have re-downloaded and reinstalled ecsro MANY times with all the newest .p2k's and such out there.

so, my problem is that when i open the launcher, i go to select my server and immediately after i click, the launcher closes. i've tried many many times to see if it'll eventually work, but each time it closes right after the click.

the servers show their online status along with their ping, however, the left-hand box usually containing updates is empty. all the buttons on the bottom are functional.

i have tried EVERY trick in the book. "run as...use this compatibility...ect, ect" i've looked through just about every forum pertaining to ecSRO and i cannot find a fix.

ANY input would be greatly appreciated. i tried to be as specific as possible but i'm sure i left some gray areas.

Disable your firewall.

You sure you havent got ecsro in your Virus Vault (or whatever it'll be called for your AV).

My launcher wouldnt work, as AVG had automatically put ecsro as a trojan.

i don't have an antivirus...i just reformatted and i have yet to install one...


EDIT: i fixed it, it was my DEP
