so my 3x bard/warlock was hacked the other day and i decided that im making a new bard

so i was thikning

bard/cleric
bard/wizard
bard/warlock
pure bard

which should i pick?

bard/cleric has teh healing abilities and might help me solo..

bard/wizard is a great leveler but im notsure if im gonna like dying every minutee (i read the bards explained guide and the owner (a really high lvl bard/wizard) was soloing as a wizard, faced a giant and died.. dropping his sos 9D harp) =[

bard/warlock was a REALLY good class for a while but the sp needed was ridiculous

pure bard .... i can 0 gap.....

Is there anything about these builds ive missed?

(they shud put separate sections in srf for different builds.. like bard.... that way it would be MUCH easier to findd)

also posting a good way to sp farm would be nicee.. i dont have high lvl friends and buying 400k+ worth of pfarming might be a little expensiveee

EDIT: a pure bard can 0 gap MOST of the way.. not all

Say hello to super slow leveling or massive SP farming if you use warlock for battle, because it requires a lot of SP.

Personally, I had a 3X bard, and its pretty good. The nukes do fine damage. Incase you ever decide to stop soloing, the cleric would help you get a party. Cleric would also help because you could use light armor, should you decide to.

Wizard is meh. If you're going to use wizard then no point in having bard but for speed and noise right? lol. Not really a bard at all, sub bard. And yes dying as a wiz is annoying. Although its not like bards are some kind of tanking wizard. You'll die just as easily with them. Only you'll make less mistakes since you'll only have booming chord as your AOE. So you won't cast your AOE like a wiz and then 2 spawn or walk into the damage zone and now you're screwed.

Either way, bard is a pretty solid solo build. I'd say don't go pure bard though, if you don't want a sub, get cleric atleast to 24. Bless will be your best friend. And if you want to continue after that, then get Healing Cycle / Recovery Division. Then you'll have some survivability when some random Giant spawns on your head.

Oh and question:

Can a pure bard really 0 gap all the way? Cuz thats awesome.

I can't see any way a bard can 0 gap to 90 and still have enough SP. You'd have to farm once you got there.

0 gap gives you 223k. Pure bard minus holding clamor and temptation @ 1 gives you 430k required.

3 gap gives you 414k.

You can't 0 gap a bard the whole way, when I got to 40 and had an assload of skills to level I ended up on a 4 gap before I had all of the level 40 skills.

These gap calculations are without quests? it would be really boring lvling up without quests even if it's just 3 gaps...
