Spear Spin Skill- The right way to use it

hi everyone!
i've been recently trying to figure out good uses for the spear spin series, as many ppl say it's utterly useless, i wanted to prove them wrong
so, i've thought of a very good reason to improve it, assuming a player is willing to SP farm, i'll make a scenario-
you are pvping, your build is pure str fire glavie, say ur a hunter, and you run into a thief, around 2 lvls higher than you, he's a pure int nuker, his nuke can be lethal if it hits you hard, so now lets look at a very lifesaving skill- the spear spin, the last book can absorb 45% of the blow when it's lvl 1, and you can make it even higher! so, you know that if you manage to close up on the nuker, you'll easily kill him, but he's starting a nuke, and it'll hit you before you reach him, now if you start spinning your spear early enough you'd be able to block most of the nuke's power, and then run towards him and finish him off.
this skill can even be more effective when ur facing 2 nukers, normally you wouldnt stand a slightest chance to survive but if you spear spin, you'd block about 50% of the damage (i'm talking about the last book here) that'll give you a chance to survive an attack that would most likely finish you off!

well, maybbbeee practical for a glaiver only if you max last book
but not practical for nukers, bladers, or pretty much any other build
why not just get level one of frost wall, which blocks ALL damage?

Frost wall only blocks phy. attacks I think, fire wall is the one that blocks mag. damage..

For 1vs1, I think nukers can't kill you with 1 hit if you are pure str have garm on and fire protection so why use fan storm if you can just run towards him and kill him in 1 or 2 hits?? Also, you forgot that there is a skill called ghost walk-phantom which will allows you to move to a nukers location in an instant and execute combos.. As for 2 vs 2, it's really not very useful because when if there are 2 nukers and you use fan storm while they cast, they could always run away from you after casting, and then they're gonna cast a spell again and you're going to block again, they run again and cast and you block until you ran out of MP /HP pots, you could easily kill a nuker while they're casting, but if they're not casting a spell, they could always run away from you...

Both fire wall and ice wall absorb all the damage. U dont take any damage while fire wall/ice wall is on.
The diference is that fire wall takes less magical damage them the ice wall, while ice wall take less phy damage them the fire wall.

yes but keep in mind u need to cast those things and it takes quite some time, unlike the spear fan which starts working instantly the moment you press it, i'm talknig about a split seconds here, you're getting bombed and the only way fro u to survive is to use it, and ur too far to reach the nuker

long casting time, you need uber reflexes to get the spin starting b4 u get hit.
The skill is still useless , by the time you've unabled it and start running to him you get a second nuke , you haven't even touched him and you haven't potted all dmg away.
Now if you immediatly start running you hit earlier and his nuke hits later.

Too far?
Nukes range is very small...
Phantom walk > Soul Spear > Ghost Spear. If it is a pure int
he will be dead unless he blocks or have great gear =p
The wall - nukers/archers can cast it before the fight, it will
die in 1-2 hits, but for nukers that alredy helps
