I am working on a pure str blader with the build 90- bicheon / fire, 68 light and 52 ice for 90 cap. when i created this char i was reading JM's description of what blade is, and it said it has lower attack rating then others but higher physical damage than sword. I have gone thorugh MrFudge's ice over light thread. but for me tanking is only needed till you kill your opponent. so the faster you kill the less time you will need to tank; the slower you kill the more you will be stuck trying to survive ( i am a pvp / jobwar kinda person ). so i understand the concept of blader being tanker not killer, but i have different view.

So here is what i am thinking: would lvling pacheon instead of ice for the extra ~50 attack rating ( hawk summon and passive at lvl 54, taking light down to 66 )worth the sacrifice of 37 physical defence from ice and snow shield? since balders have low attack rating to begin with and a higher rating would mean more chance to hit higher damage per shot.

my theory of attack rating / hit ratio also involves the chance to hit crit. since hit ratio decides whether you will hit higher side of damage and crit in this case is the highest possible for the shot. there is no solid evidence on this. but for example bladers have the lowest attack rating and they can also have the lowest crit on a weapon which is 1. Also bowers do lot of crit, they have crit added to skill but at the same time they have attack rating increase skill and passive as well. so the hit ratio/ attack rating and crit chance go side by side.

anyways what you guys think ? please discuss

ps. i have had capped bicheon build before at 80 cap, but not a pure str blader. this one is lvl 37 now.

Sorry to say, but the only way to see if it's a good build is by testing it yourself.

I think u need to have a bow equipped to have the hawk summoned. And I've never seen such build. Give it a try!

partly true...

you only need the bow to summon the hawk, after that you can switch to another weapon (i have tested this). But with the build, i remember somebody a while back doing the same thing except with a glaive IIRC, so it worth a shot, and it probably will turn out great!

Use a 30% hit ratio increase scroll and see how much you like that. It is going to increase your hit ratio way more than pacheon, so if you don't like your dmg with the scroll, you definitely won't want to level up pacheon.

he juz whined in guild chat recently abt spending 15m and not getting his crt 12 blade even +3

btw, he is 90 but not farmed, dual weapon needs loads of sp, and he is not rly settled in mercury, he has other char in other servers

anywayz, he use blader mainly as tank, and to 6 chain till impotent/div/bleed, den use bow as main to kill in pvp

which its a tedious process

Is there even such a scroll?
