Hello,
i know there are several topics about this, but i never got a clear answer,
so if you got to choose between these two, which one is the best + why?

Depends what kinda gear you wear if you are Prot or Armor i would go 90 light 90 heuk 90 fire 30 cold

if you are garment 90 cold 90 fire 90 huek 30 light

IMO, Glaivers need 90 ice. So, the build would be: 90 fire / 90 heuksal / 90 ice / 30 light.

While bladers got knockdown, and archers got an almost certain knockback with the arrow combo, glaivers only have 30% stun and 30% knockback. That's not enough, sometimes. IMO, the extra defense can REALLY save your ass sometimes, and glaivers really need it. Without ice, you get raped by rogues and warriors. Having maxed fire and having 15 seconds of fan storm means INT's aren't that much of a concern, although they deal quite a bit of damage. If under division & bleed, just turn on fan storm, and spam soul spear + windless, until status ends. It might save your ass. Also, you can use fire wall. Thus, you can wear protectors safely.

so much bladers and bowers, glaviers (me) need defence against them.

but what are you think about force_90 instead cold_90 and using armor instead prot.?
there will be bigger chance to kill, not just to survive.

@ stopper, you wont have enough tanking ability to keep casting force buff/debuffs.

@ stress, without 90 lightning you wont catch up on others, how can you ever attack then? and f/f lvl 90 you got THREE knockback skills so that wont be bad either

well that is why i will use armor set than prot. set, it gives me about 100-130 more phy defence.

nukers will still get you way to easy, and armor defense aint that great neither, and you will most likely still be to slow.

compared 2 sets garm.+5 and prot.+5 at 9D last items, no chest90 and legs89. FB .
i have 452 str. on me
garm - phy - 1233, mag - 1970
prot - phy - 1394, mag - 1717

diference is 161 phy. more, 253 mag. less

protector is balanced armor , FTW

as a glavier you will run out of MP fast, so you'll need that extra 10% mp reducethat garment gives you over protector, and that extra 10% is also very hard needed, since you need to close attack 90% of the time.

Go 90|90|60|60-Heuksal/Fire/Ice/Light

It's cheaper in SP.
Light does virtually nothing for a pure str so it isn't necessary to cap it.
Physical defense from Ice is still high enough to make a difference.
Fire is a must for Pure str.

You get the best of all forces.

90 Heuksal 90 fire 90 light 30 ice with Protector set +5 and skill with switching to shield vs warriors dare devil/kd..you won't have problems with warriors.

Vs Int. since your mag. def is lower..you will need pills to take alway abnormal stats. bleed ect. and fan when need and you should do find...and like most int..once there snow is over you pretty much won.

you got fireshield for the abnormal statusses, then a lil bit more alchemy and you're immune to almost everything.

u would rather hav the first option since u need a high speed since wielding a glaive slows u down
