Hi, want some high lvl blader's experience with lvling with Chain attk VS Knockdown Stab combo.

Many have told me Chain is faster for PvE, but is it a lot faster then knowckdown stab?.

I kno knockdown is only 50%, if unsuccesfull can fill in with smashing series, and lvl1 chain?

Need input on this, if there anyone lvling with just knockdown combo? Is chain a must have for PvE?

I'd say chains ARE a must. Not only do they get good damage especially at higher levels, but multiple hits mean better chances for for imbue abililty to take.

BUT, that being said, KD and stab are great when people are trying to KS your giant.

Im not too sure, once you get the 2nd book of knockdown at level 41 (which is strong with a level 1 percentage of about 200%) you can basically use KD-STAB (dead) or if it fails then KD-KD-Stab. Not sure if its quicker than the combos but i only have 4 and 5 combos of level 29 not the 51 ones.

Thats what iam wondering about, book 2 knock down and book2 stab, it would be pretty fast right? And how much slower is knowckdown combo vs chain?

The problem is leveling before you have enough KD and stab skills.

Chains kill faster, and take less MP.

EDIT: Not THAT much slower, maybe 2/3 of the speed.

thanks forthe input guys, the reason for me asking was because I wanted to save on the sp from chain( takes over 20k sp to max out). Iam just going to stick with lvl1 chain until I get knock down and stab book 2. I recently got a lvl24 sosun blade, so I will be fine with lvl1 chain.

If you don't plan on using chains a lot only get the 5 hit attack. 5 hits = 1 more chance to crit = more damage. And later on, you can KD, stab stab, KD, chain, KD, and so on.

Whats the heck is KD?

ehh, chains for pve, kd + stab for giants, ksing, and pvp

chain's cant really kill during pvp from my experience (receiving them)

i tried to use only knockdown and stab, when i reached lvl 45 and got the 2nd book of flower bloom. believe me, it it NOT faster than using chains. it's much slower.

1st reason: u have to knockdown the mob, then u can use 2 stabbing skills. if u dont success in knocking them down, if have to use both knockdown skills, which does not give much damage.

2nd reason: the knockdown and stabbing skills are pretty slow (xxx%) and make not much damage.

3rd reason: there's a little halt when u knockdown the mob and stab him. means u can't stab the mob instantly.


=> leveling only using knockdown and stabbing is much slower than using chains.
