Caster/Buffer with Heavy Armor?

Hey guys, while I was playing Silkroad on an Axeman/Cleric, I came up with something.
I'm pretty sure someone had made a topic about this already but I couldn't find any right now.
So when you're a Caster/Buffer, with some points into Warrior (or Rogue for Light Armor), does it help alot to be able to equip yourself with Heavy (/Light) Armor?

Thanks

dont bother, cleric can use light armor

and heavy armor, you shouldnt be getting hit much to begin with

I do fine with cleric + 30 wiz for teleporting (or you can go 40 warlock for the deaggro skill)

That actually seems like a good idea, getting wizard mastery for teleport. You can also take level 10 warrior for Shield Trash. You'll be a KBing, teleporting cleric :D

On topic: It's best to use light armor for clerics. As long as Cleric is your main class, you can keep the defense buffs on yourself. Plus, Charity gives additional defense bonuses to the buffs, and Glory Armor and Favor Armor both add considerable amounts of defense. Light armor naturally has more physical defense as well.

If cleric is just a subclass and you are an INT based caster, robes are good to help you move faster and conserve MP. I still use light armor simply for the added physical defense.

Heavy armor would not do much for INT builds because it slows you down and you run out of MP much faster.
