hello. i have been reading around and everyone says that rogue is the best soloer of euro characters. i want to know why wizard cant be a good soloer. it has great damage so it can kill a monster before it even touches it.

it can, people just dont know how to play wiz so they say they get 1 hit

its better for a wizard to support...
but solo is ok only if u not will get frustrated of dieing

That is retard comment really ... No matter how good can you play it , with crap gear and without cleric subclass you will die in 1 crit ...

Anyway ...Wizard can solo great ... fastest leveling build ... you just need to pimp some gear and get Cleric subclass ...

o.0 the full ints lvl fast cuz they can party and solo well, for solo just grind in mobs that u can kill 1-2 attacks

If I can solo as a bard/cleric, then of course a wizard can solo as well. Just use bard sub for speed and noise or cleric sub for buffs and healing or warlock sub for debuffs and healing.

If you know your char, a wiz can solo.
Even without dying too much.
Just be careful around giants.

My main problem when I had a wizard was that like Nitro said if a monster
crits on you you'll die. And that actually will happen a bit more then you may expect. Also if you have even the slightest lag. You'll probably die. Even with Noise. all it takes is one champ/gaint to sneak up behind you while your lagging and BAM your dead.

With Wizard/Bard it can be hard against Party mobs and Giants. Wizard/Cleric is alot easier. You can put Bless and Recovery Divison up.

With bard sub, it's really easy.

Wizard/Bard = Unlimited MP + Protection from Aggressive Monsters
Wizard/Cleric = Healing Spells + Powerful Buffs + Offering
Wizard/Warlock = Stacking Attacks + HP Absorption + Damage Reflection

wizard player just think that they wont die cause theyll kill in one hit so they dont pay attention to their surroundings and then bam giant kills them
isay if ur looking for more suvivability use cleric sub

hm... you dont die from 1 crit from normal mob if you know how to play :S

if you know you'll get hit, just use hp pot before it hits you... the healing will absorb the damage and your hp wont go down till a few more hits

+1 ya most people dont even ga pass lvl 42 so they never played as a wiz
man wiz are the best ksing build
and there realy good at soloing

Wizards are great as soloing, as long as you can constantly replenish their HP and MP. You can do this by subbing Bard and spamming HP Potions or subbing Cleric (Less Damage, Much Better Survivability)/Warlock (More Damage, Less Survivability) and spamming MP Potions.

Of course, this is if you go with an Int build.

sure they can solo if you plan on sp farming.
