What is the best weapon from start?

And any general tips for starting a new char who wil sp farm?

And is it a good idea to go pure int from start im a mage loving person

I always use ICE so base the option of the weapon on this

i love sword its a classic but i will get a load of oppinions

With ice I'd say a bow.

i did notice when i used the galvie and i got no skills for it accept force it did have high attack ratings lol but i hadly ever use bow and the skills are higher for bow then spear/galvie

bow is good to start with, since you take no damage as you nail manyangs and very little from big eyed ghosts. later, you can switch out to your other preferred weapons when you gain your lvl 5 skills.

glavie , it has quick kills with high dmg output and wont need many pots. an ice archer would and bows tend to be weak later on

the glaive is the slowest i believe

Im doing mostly INT with some STR and SPEAR. So I added all 3 points to strength for my first 3 levels and then all 3 to INT the next 6 levels to get me back to 2:1. This gave me more hitting power till level 4. I dunno, you get through those first levels so fast anyway, maybe it doesn't matter. I'm level 14 and still maintaining the 9 level spread. I have roughly 3800 SP. Also have leaned more than 2:1 towards INT. Unless you have gold to start with, I wouldn't go bow. I used a glaive for a long time...until I found a ++ or more spear for whatever level I was at, because a glaive deals phys damage...and you have no skills for magic.

i've always prefered glaive, it may be slower but its a hard hitter...but than again, i've only done str builds. basically from what i've seen messing with all the weps. sword/spear and blade/glaive do about the same DoT, bow does slightly less. so what it really comes down to is the style by which you plan on playing.

sword/sheild - smaller attack range, but higher defense
glaive/spear - lower def, but ability to attack multiple enemies
bow - ranged attack

note, I havn't been playing long, i'm not some uber high char, this is basically all just from observations.

so if i'm wrong, correct me.

not sure how effective it is, but high levelled sword users get an AoE as well

well for one, i just fond out the godly power of blade/ice. while pvp, i was battling a lvl 19. my glavie/fire kept getting buffered. i hate it! caused me to lvl on some ice skills myself.

Because of the cost of arrows (and your lack of skills / masteries) a bow may be bad for SP farming.

so now when i start on the newserver coming soon i think this month i should use glavie right but what build? i perfer int but i may be wrong and what force i want to go up as fast as possible and with as much ease later on in the game

actually that's not quite true.

I have an SP farmer currently that uses bow. And she's doing spetacularly well.

I did give her the basic Pacheon skill, but i plan on collecting curst hearts later to delevel that. So, that's 5 masteries, with 1 skill in the anti-devil. so around 60 curst hearts?

But at any rate... I think bow is a good starting weapon... even though it's been taken many times in this post...

i like the idea of bow and tested it in athens seems to work in athems level 6 22sp's i dnt think tats too bad lol but the voting says dif or do we have spammers? most posts say bow most votes say glavie

Using bow at lower levels isnt so costly if...

Only until you get the super cool bow moves and 3-2 arrow relays do you eat arrows like mad.

The only real cost is the PRICE of the bow, like Poptarts +7 sp farmer.

Not rreally sure but I think the blade is better at the beginning cause' it's faster than the glavie/spear, the bow generally sux ! But l8er on in the gaym the glavie damagaes more than the blade in certain situations but it is still slower than any blade or sword

you can forget anout this thread i can't be bothered to start over besides im a sword person its better with magic
