Title explains. I want to be thief, but idk if warriors are effective at it.

Hunter or Thief.

I have a lowbie that I'm leveling to the same build.. I'll probably go hunter, because it's a lot easier to find a pt with people who know what they're doing.

warriors are better off as hunters

but if you can sp farm and level up stealth, thief would be good

I'm 2H Warrior/Cleric and I act as thief
You can do both, just select what you like

i'm a 2h/cleric..
and i gotta say i'm a PRO theif. =D
just run in there if you're alone
bust out your iron+mana skin and rape everyone.
and if your mana skin isn't enough then put bless spell up too
but you'll need speed pots
cuz running w/out speed is your weakest link

You would need to use bless first then skins...if you skin first and they're not enough, and then decide to switch to cleric to throw up a bless, your skins will go away.

well.. idk if you knew this.. but if you do skins first.
you have skins for 45 seconds and then it's a minute cool down time
after your 45 seconds are over, you do bless spell directly afterwards
and once bless spell is over, you can cast your skins agian.
if you do it the opposite way, meaning bless spell first,
your do bless spell then once it's over, your do your skins
once your skins are over, you still need another minute for your bless spell.
which you're basically screwed over if you don't run.

you're only the best tanker when you have either bless or skins.
other than that, your 15 sec pot delay rapes your butt.

Yes, I knew this: If you bless first, then skin you have about 1min 15secs before you can bless again, and your skins will come out of cooldown around 10secs before your bless does (So, yes there's about a 1min duration when you'd be out of bless/skin).

If you skin first then bless, you only have about 20secs before you can skin again, then if you do, after the skins are over, there's still a 1min cool down before you can bless. And basically after that's done with, both bless and skins come out of cooldown relatively at the same time (about 10~15secs between one another).

Both versions basically have a 1min+ cooldown time in which you're not in bless or skins. Just one version has 45secs more increase defense than the other (well, within a relatively quicker time). Just if you bless first then skin, you don't have to worry about juggling between cleric or warrior while fighting, and it'll be easier to remain in vital increase during your tanking session if you went cleric > warrior.

Stealth as a warrior/cleric, cool!

Any build can play any job it depends on who is playing

If it takes a 2h/cleric warrior over 2 mins to kill a player then thats just sad.

Lol what I was trying to get at...

Sure 2 min is too long
But usually, hunters/traders know about our defence buff duration time.So they run around us, and wait the end of buff, and then attack .
Intelligent dealing with mana/iron skin and bless spell, gives you long time high defence

with a typhoon and zerk, no one is gonna outrun you unless they zerk away too lol.
then just sprint assault them to stop them, if you dont get the stun or kb then thats just awful luck for you.
and no one is killing you with bless and skins unless they have 4 clerics or something.
you should be able to take down a whole trade on your own, just wait for the npc thief spawn to bless, skins, warcry, sprint assault and as your daredevil charges zerk away. With bless and skins you can even take an offering, and if you have vigors you can take 2 (just not at the same time :S)
