I keep hearing about not making a pure int spear but a hybrid? I know it's distributing points and bla bla bla. But what is 2:1, and all the other _:1 mean?

Also I am making a new char, I can't decide. What is not party dependent, and eventually kick @$$ at PvP?

Thats the distribution of your stats points.

2:1 means every lvl u put 2 int 1 str
5:1 means you put int on for 1 lvl and then 2int 1str next lvl
7:1 means you have 7int to 1 str and so on

1:1 is hybrid
2:1 is int hybrid
pure int is... pure int
pure str pure str

go str blade or pure int s/s or 5:1 / 7:1 spear imo

when you lvl up you get 3 stat points to put on either STR or INT.

Put all in STR every lvl then your full STR char.
Put all in INT every lvl then your full INT char.
Put 2 in INT and 1 in STR then your 2:1 INT char

you get the picture..

The more STR stat points = more HP in your build but less powerfull as it means less points are in INT which is what gives most attack damage I.E nukers

Nukers who are pure INT die easier than a hybrid nuker.

Hybrid nuker will maybe be 2:1 INT or 3:1 or 4:1

this means they are at leaast putting some stat points into STR at certain lvls to give the char more HP than a full INT char.

Finding the balance is key in not being to low in HP but also have good damage

I decided to be a 7:1 Hybrid spear nuker. It seems like a very good build. But what armor do I wear, and what skills do I raise?

it;s not a very good build. 7:1 ..practically full INT. with no shield!

80:80 ? lol

i would think that is the same as 1:1 taking ratios into account

that is half INT half STR

80:80 is more Int.
1:1 is 1:1 str/int points.

80:80 is not 1:1 ratio of stat points, the naked balances for a 80:80 hybrid are 70:70 which requires you to put a bit more into INT since phy and mag balances don't increase at the same rate

You need to try to make it 70:70 ... That is awesome build for bow ... really awesome!
