This kind of topic will only make most people tell that the build that they use, or THEY like is the best, and therefore, IMHO, you will not be able to rely on the results of it. YOU have to choose the one that is the best for YOU, choose the one which YOU like more. Try watching videos, reading guides, dunno what else, and then choose the one that seems better for YOU, choose the one with a style which YOU like. Hope you understand what I mean. And there is NOT a best build, its just that some people know how to use theirs(so they are strong with it), and ALL builds have some weaknesses, but ALL of them also have their strong points (except some obvious useless builds, that I think I dont even need to mention).

Try to find out whats the better build for YOU man, not what other people think that would be the better for ya. Search youtube, watch pvp fights at your server I dont know what else, just find a build that you like, dont worry about it being a "owning" build or not, just learn how to use it and you will be 100% fine. Everyone new here wants the god damn best build, but there is NOT such a thing. JUST MAKE A BUILD THAT YOU LIKE, IF IT DOESNT WORK OUT (THING THAT I DOUBT THAT WILL BE HAPPENING) JUST START OVER WITH ANOTHER BUILD THAT YOU ARE INTERESTED IN.

Search on this section of the forum for info about the build you like, if you cant find it then ask specific things. Hope I helped.

these are 2 totaly diferent builds 1 str other int, then is ur choise of what u like, IMO hibrid is better than full int in s/s(CHINESE) u kinda confuce me xD ,just to make it clear ,there is no s/s full int in euro race

Pros:
High HP
Good Physical Defense
High Physical Damage
Increased Physical Damage (From "War Cry" Skill)
Critial Increase (Passive: Concentration)
Damage Return Possibility
Iron and Mana Skin (increase Physical and Magical Defense for 45secs)
Bless Spell (increase Physical and Magical Defense for 45secs)
Self-Heals; i.e Recovery Division, Healing Cycle, etc.
Holy Word/Spell (Helps with immunity)
Body and Soul Blessing/Deity (Only used w/ cleric rod: increased physical and magical defense)
Has Statuses: Stun, Bind
Can Knock Back, and Knock Down

Cons:
Slow Attack Speed
Low MP
Lower Magical Defense
15-sec Pot Delay (Some say it isn't, but compared to chi, it technically is a disadvantage).
Has no shield when wielding 2h; no block possibility
Lack of AoE skills

*Hard to list pros and cons for int s/s w/o knowing planned possible build, so the following are just general pros and cans*

Chinese Pure Int S/S:
Pros:
High MP
Good Magical Defense
High Magical Damage
Many AoE Skills (Nukes)
Can wield a Shield; Possibility to block
Ironwall shield (increase physical defense for 30secs)
No Pot Delay
Has Statuses: Bleed, Impotent, Division
Can Knock Down

Cons:
Low HP
Lower Physical Defense
Slow Cast Times (Some Nukes)

THERE IS NO BETTER BUILD IN SILKROAD.

go look around, do you see a sever with 100% 2handed/cleric? if you did that would be the best build.

do you see a server with 100% chinese s/s? NO?

wtf is with these topics. you know which one is the better build? both are great, its the person behind the build that has to know how to pvp with it. Lots of s/s's dont know how to use their build, they dont know about status effects, they have no idea what to do after snow shields gone, some dont even fuckin get weapon skills and are pure nukers.

on the other hand a lot of 2h/clerics dont know how to use their build either. They don't activate iron and mana skin, they use the wrong ones, they don't lvl up fences and screens or protects, they have no idea what buffs stay on or off when u switch weapons, they dont know when to cast bless. FFS some even cast bless and skins at the same time for no fckn reason when u know 1 set is already enough and after 45 seconds u freak out cuz ur "GOD MODE" is gone. People have no idea how to play their builds, end of Farking story.

the ones that do know how to play their builds Farking own with mediocre sets.
If you wanna see a guy with a sun+7 set, sun +9 weapon and not be able to kill anyone log on to greece and look for a guy named Yousef. That's the epitome of a set and build gone to hell.

stop asking which build is better, its about gears and the person behind the computer screen pvping.

OK, let me try again, summarizing:
There are not better/worse builds, they are just diferent in their own ways. You can not base your build on what other people like. You have to choose the one you like the most, the one that seems suitable according to what you like.

Let me compare pure int s/s (90light/90cold/90bicheon) and a 2h warrior/cleric according to my opinions:

• The chinese pure int:
  
  • It will have way more agility/versatility;
  • It will be easier to level than a 2h warrior/cleric soloing;
  • You will be able to tank like hell while your snow shield lasts, and maybe sort of well while its off;
  • You will be able to easily powerlevel ppl;
  • You will need to farm a lot to be strong;
  • Deal lots of damage.
  • Long range.
• The euro pure str:
  
  • Tank a hell lot when you are over lvl 60, and not so much but still very good between 24 ~ 60;
  • Deal lots of damage.
  • Immune to all stats up to your holy word lvl.
  • Slower lvling while soloing, but you will lvl really fast if you get into a good party;
  • No range.
• Note: Your char will excel IF, and only IF, you know/learn how to use it.

though i think people who asks these " kind " of questions are the ones who only thinks of firepower, stronger and more dmg and so fourth. don't know really but some people need to stop thinking like that, it can get really... annoying.

S/S is a European build, Sword/shield; yes a 1 handed sword warrior w/ a shield.
