i heard choosing cleric as a sub is for party, bard is for solo, and warlock is for pvp. is this entirely correct or have i been mislead. also, which skills do i need from cleric if i chose it as a sub, from bard if i chose as sub and same for warlock. one last question, can warlock help me tank a giant if i de buff them. thanks. o almost forogt. one last question. does warlock have any buffs for urself such as bless spell that cleric has. thanks.

Re: rogue/warlock?
rogue/warlock is overkill imo...u can 1 shot most things anyway
bard will be best coz u can always switch to bard when needed in pts...as wizards need tons of mp...so just heal them...easy laid back job

Partially correct.
Cleric is good for solo as well as parties. Don't expect much from your cleric skills in a party since you will be full str.
Bard is also usefull in parties. It is also true for a warlock.
revo333 wrote:also, which skills do i need from cleric if i chose it as a sub, from bard if i chose as sub and same for warlock.
Cleric= Holy word, recovery division, bless
Bard=Noise, march
Warlock=Daze, slumber, bloody trap, panic, vampric touch, debuff skill tree and their passives.AND Advanced Reflect

It helps you to kill it faster, weaken it, stun and sleep. But dont expect much, since all these skills will warn out soon, you will be standing with a giant alone, you can do nothing but RUN. Cleric will be a better help but it is the same story, a rague can not tank a giant by himself.

ADVANCED REFLECT
Man, this is too much for a single thread
To the topic title: Rague/Warlock is a good build.

Re: rogue/warlock?
Its a cool build, i use it. IMO its not overkill, its an alternative to inmobilize your enemies with stun and sleep. There are enemies really hard to kill, even with with DD/XE, this is where warlock comes in, so i dont think this is overkill. This is also pretty useful against those morons with pk2 detect, once they are debuffed you can kill them without problems

+1.. i tank giants my lvl with XE on !
just keep kd and kb doing its job, and vigor when needed
oh and rogue/lock is NOT overkill.. u cant kill warriors with those skins on without a lock, u also cant kill bladers or 1 handers with better EQ than yours without lock..
actually warlock as a sub is mainly for stun/sleep, not just debuffs. the opponent being disabled by being stunned for ex, gives u all the time u need to DD-> kill VERY safely..
the only problem about lock sub is the sp required..

Re: rogue/warlock?
yea..
the new "recovery bind" will surely make a huge difference
it also used to be good against warrior/clerics, cuz holy spell doesnt make u immune to panic
