Hmmm, still not decided on what build i should do at 90 Cap for my pure str bower
Well first i thought id go 90 Bow/Fire/Light and 30 Cold.
Then changed my mind to 90 Bow/Fire and 60 Cold/Light.
But now im thinking about 90 Bow/Fire/Cold and 30 Light.

Im not doing the first build, cant decide between the last 2...

Go with 60 light/60 ice IMO.
Since you don't want all that speed at 90.
As an archer you want speed, + lvl 30 speed isn't going to cut it. Your going to get outrun by everyone.

i choosed 60 ice and 60 light.
but i find 30 ice and 90 light better imo if you dont mind farming i guess.
since you get more speed, mag attake buff that helps a little, and parry ratio.
having 60 ice for a pure str is pointless imo cant use 40% snow.... doesnt need phy def since your pure str....

and if your gona be here during 100 cap
100 bow
100 fire
100 light
is the best imo

What about using Speed drugs while jobbing?
I have a friend from japan, and it looks like that there some/most bowers are with Fire/Cold (im not sure, would need confirmation).

I think you should make the poll able to be revoted, because as this will be mainly a discussion, a lot of ppl might change their ideas about the matter. Just my opinion anyways.


About 90fire/cold, you would be losing some mag atk from not taking light, but I really cant tell if that would mean a lot, because you are a full str anyways. You would lose the capacity of using ghost walk, but I dont know if you would really need to use it, because you would have some tanking abilities with ice+fire.

alot of people say well bowmans are long distance you dont need light
there forgot about the fact that bowman are defetable when your in a jobwar or fortress or watever and they all mob at you you will need light to phantom your ass away for your pots to heal you.

but look....90 light vs 60 light:
-only 13 parry difference
-only 3% mag atk difference
-phantom 4m difference
-and the biggest difference is grass walk which is 59% at lv.60 and 77% at 90...but i dont mind using 100% speed pot

well this does kinda depend on if your gona play after 100 cap.

anways uhh... 4m phantom is a a bigg difference imo.
since you put it that way... i guess 60 light might be better then 90 light...
but why do you need 60 ice anyways??

I Voted 60 light/ice
People often say, you are full str, why need more phy defense from ice?
Well, try pvp with euro warrior or rogue and you will see why. Their godly crits do own ur @ss, believe it or not.
Beside, 60ice/ light for now is a very good option incase u decide to change your mind later on, you dont have to waste alot of gold and sp to delvl either one and max the other.
So yea, 60light, 60 ice imo

could go 70 light/50 ice...

Well, I always thought that a str build would be best 90 weapon/ fire/ light, but recently after reading a large thread at 0x33 - from people who have played 100 cap in some kind of test server (ksro?) - I think ice is much better than fire. The 100 fire/ ice/ weapon build seemed to be the best choice.

If you're looking for a pure pvp / gw build (where you don't have to move alot) take 90 ice. (grinding will be a bitch though imo)

If you want a good balance of speed and defense, 60 ice/ 60 light

90 light is just.. meh. not worth the SP for a str.

Go with 90 pacheon 90 fire 60 light and 60 ice.

If you leave light at 30 you cant use phantom walk, if you cant use phantom walk you cant avoid a fight when you are being outnumbered on fortress or job war and you will loose lot of magical damage (even when your damage is primary physical, your magical damage always help or you dont even bother on using imbue). At lvl60 you get archer shot distance of phantom walk, a good burst on parry and 15% mag damage

If you leave ice at 30 you will miss a lot of phys defence. That a str bowmen dont need extra phy defence IS NOT TRUE, pacheon is the only of the weapon masteries that dont have a skill to burst your defence 15 seconds and pacehon doesnt have a shield nor extra HP. Moreover, on same situation that you are being outnumebered on guild/fortress war you can cast snowshield at 40%, switch to shield and run like a b.itch ^^. At lvl 60 is the biggest increase on phys defence buff, you get same increse on defence going from ice59 to ice 60 than going from ice0 to ice 59.


Those are the reasons because you need both at lvl60. If you leave one of those at 30 you will miss it a lot, but if you increase any of them at 90 you will not get that much profit than at 60 ^^.
