New char decision..

Post by iGod »

Well I'm making a new char and I've decided the classes, but not sure what weapon to take. Could you help me with this decision?

I plan on making a warrior+warlock, but I don't know if i should take both 2h and 1h, axes are out of the question of course. I want to take 1h at least, but is 2h necessary or can I live without it?

I can't make up my mind because 2h is nice even without warlock debuffs, but a lot more sp needs to be farmed for 90 cap, 490k to be exact.

Just for 1h and warlock I'd have to farm 372k sp, 120k less ..

2h skills are not crutial for you. You can easily kill by debuffing and then killing with 1h skills. So, you can live without 2h skills. If I were you, I wouldnt take 2h skills.

Yea I agree. On my server there's a 80 1h/warlock and no one wants to pvp him cuz he always wins.

I wouldn't normally take them but they could be useful against people who are immune to the debuffs :/

I'd take 2h ... seriously ... Imagine fortress War ... you will debuff everyone then kill?
Or just smack them with Daredevil?

Just farm when you are at the cap, before that it will be sort of rare to find someone with holy word buffed. You will prolly find more frequently ppl buffed on jobs, but there you will prolly buffed too, so... its up to you. Still, I wouldnt take 2h skills.

Oh forgot about this: Even someone with holy word buffed, can be debuffed by some certain skills from warlock. With those skills, you can kill easily chineses and euros using 1h sword skills, and tanking with iron skin/mana skin. Again, I wouldnt take 2h skills :P

Well, debuffin dont take all that time. You dont need to use all skills to be able to kill someone. And fortress war is not 1vs1, a lot of ppl will prolly be attacking the same target, then your damage would only help killing. Oh, and if im not mistaken, the debuffs at the cap have AOE. You would help a LOT (if ppl arent immune). Still, if they are immune, there are some debuffs that will still work.

Anyways, 2h skills would help you, we cannot deny that. If you can, manage to farm them at the cap, but until there you probably wont be really in need of them.

I think 2h is relatively vulnerable without cleric sub, compared to 1h. 1h can tank even without cleric sub, for 2h it's slightly harder.

I'd take 1h/warlock only. You should take 2h, only if you have the patience to farm the extra SP needed. Even then, I don't think it would be very useful afterall. Yes, indeed, Daredevil rapes with debuffs, but the taking ability lacks seriously. Immagine having skins in cooldown, and being knocked down and stabbed by an INT twice, without cleric RD. That effectively means death.

2h with warlock sub isn't THAT vulnerable. Nevertheless, the safer way to go is 1h.

I guess I'll take both then.. About fortress war.. well for that i can choose between a wizard and a rogue lvl80 so I don't think that should be a problem :P I wouldnt use this char in fortress. I just want to have a nice pvp char :d
