Short pvp - Rogue

Long pvp - Blader

Fast lvling - Rogue

Slow lvling - Blader

Blade and rogue are on opposite sides of the spectrum. Bladers have high defense but do low damage and rogues have low defense but really high damage. Rogues level faster but bladers use less potions and in turn save money. Bladers need more skill points but has more and better looking skills. Blade is likely the nicest looking builld as far as equipment is concerned have low dmg. Rogues can go stealth and be invisible but there are destealth buffs.

Pretty much all of the pros/cons that come to mind.

Both are very different builds, it depends on what you want.

Rogue: High damage - Low defense

Blader: Low damage - High defense

imo, you can have more fun with a rogue.

rogue/cleric vs blader i would say blader has 65%-70% chance
of coz wif similar gears, full farmed and player skills

i saw loads of rogues wif XE or DD on being KD, and they dun switch to shield to cancel their XE or DD while being stabbed and lose =.=
and turning on XE or DD right at start of fight instead of turning it on only when enemy is KD

i pvp with loads of rogue b4 and i would say during rogue's bless 45 sec, i would juz spam KD till it runs out, aft bless a rogue isnt hard to kill any more
but when a blader's snowshield/ironwall both in cd, a dagger prick and combo could easily kill (esp. a prick crit which can do 26k on me w/o snow shield and 20k wif snowshield)

but if prick is blocked, most likely the rogue is dead :P

Maybe against a rogue/cleric the blader has 50% or 55% chance if the blader is fast. against a rogue/warlock the blader chances are maybe 25%, once the blader is debuffed and sleeping he is dead, if the blader blocks the prick, the rogue just needs to switch to warlock and debuff the blader again. I pvped lots of bladers before, they are tanking machines but against a rogue they rely on a block, if the prick is a success the blader is dead.

I wouldn't recommend a Rogue when you start to play Silkroad for the first time. Even though it looks like a simple character, you'll die a lot if you don't know what you're doing, not even to mention party play, cause for that you'll need some experience to play smart with a rogue.

Why not take a glavier or a warrior for the first time. These are great starters.

A blader is great when you are full farmed.

Try to make a rogue first and bring it to a high lvl like 64 or something. Than make a blader and pfarm it. I don't know if you understand this when you just started but try to read some pfarm guides ^^

I think if you just stared sro it won't be fun to have a 5 gap all the way, cause you will get bored very fast.

You're off your rocker. With blades you can do like 7 sexy chains in a fluid set.

oh yea, euro in general are not really meant for starters of sro, they require more technique (weap switching, when to use what skill correctly) cuz it could decide a win or loss when u use ur skills at the right timing

pure str chinese are better for starters, spam 1,2,3,4 and u are most likely fine

all xbow does is spam skills... you only get like 8 of them at cap...
not much choice in skills lol

and xbow doesnt die very often either

Blader= Mainly a meat tank unless you have a REALLY good wep.
Meat tank for strategic events, but no one uses much strategy in SRO
Alot more farming.
Long PVP's mean ALOT of pots.

Anyways. I reccomend Rogue.

/love
