i have been reading the forums, and i have noticed a lot of people say bladers aren't the best. Not in terms of attack but overall they are the weakest. Is it true?

they are the weakest in damage.
but they do hit extremly fast.
if you know how to play your blader you would be fine in pvp.
bladers are slow at pve

Bladers are the best (physical) tanks, and their damage is great due debuff chains.
They're not the weakest, not by a long shot.

What are debuff chains lol. (new)

The skills lightning chain and stone smash which can cause the status bleed or division to allow you to do more dmg.

lots of gr8 expectations for bladers out there..
thats not so true thoough.. bladers arent the weakest but they dont pwn!
they do tank the hell out of anything, but warirors tank better
they do hit hell fast, but daggers hit faster
they r no worst.. they r no best

I fail to see how a warrior can tank better than a blader lol.. They have a 15sec pot delay= They can't tank very good like a blader unless hes buffed all to hell which iron skin only last 45secs so You can just run from them or kd them for 45 secs then there easy to kill. Warriors just have better damage than bladers/glaviers.

Bladers are the weakest pure str of the chinese side.
They do the least dmg per hit however their DPS is extremely high.

Are they the weakest? Can't compare them with euros; will be better to compare bladers to other chinese builds. Out of the common chinese builds, bladers have the lowest damage output. They were the tanks before euro came along, and were not meant to deal the most damage.

Also, could someone define in which sense the term "weakest" is referring? Weak as only in their damage dealing capabilities, or weak as in their overall efficacy?

Bladers mostly fail to prevent mobs attacking other party members esp. euros. On the other hand warrior is the best for tanking&protecting party members. Just need a good cleric.

PvPd a blader build new to me, 2:1 Str with 95%PhyBal - 75%MagBal, having 12k MP and using 30% SnowShield, and still having a good PhyBal for phy atk damage and crit multiplier. Man, can't kill him. I barely halved his HP because i have to run wen 2 or more effect status stick on me considering recovery pots for these status go 1by1 and has long cooldown time. Division and Bleed in chains change everything. Bladers can kill now, esp, wtih good gears and wep with good Crit.

About the warriors, they are undoubtedly strong but can't compare them to bladers. As Twisted wrote, they need a cleric while bladers can go solo tanking with shield blocks and shifting armor to pro to garment depending on the sit to give better def in the situation.

If you want to be a blader nowadays, Get a wizard to lvl 72 and powerfarm him at ongs for like 500k sp, then lvl his ass so he can fight on pts against general and lvl cause solo will take forever.

warriors dont have pot delay ! thats what recovery division is supposed to do.. cancel the delay!!

Recovery Division doesnt make the pot usage delay go any faster, it is used as a crutch to auto heal you so you don't have to rely on pots except as a last resort.

200-400 times 6 = 1200-2400 dmg while an attack from a glaive is for SSE like 3.5-5k to 1.5-3k on both hits and a nuke would do anywhere from 7k to 10k (and sometimes even higher)...

Sure, Bladers may not do impressive damage in one hit, but their DPS is amazing. They are not the weakest by a long shot. Their chains are simply amazing and they are super-tanks with their shields. They are nearly untouchable. My friend with a fully-farmed 2h Warrior/Cleric even has trouble on them.

So technically a spear nuker has the highest DPS then.

A think, bladers are the least killed chars of all. Either on PvP or PvE.
In terms of damage dealing, they are only stronger than 1H warrior.

I can not start a topic yet. One may start a topic about DPS order of chars.
DPS: 1H Warrior<Blader<STR Bow<s\s nuker<Spear Nuker like this....It would be fun.

chain attacks take slightly more time, and if 2 out of 6 attacks r blocked, u do very low damage.. making moves with a strong 1 shot better

Not really, because if that one shot is blocked, you do no damage at all. If two of six attacks hit, you do damage. Doing damage > not doing damage.

No build is the weakest. All builds are good.

you obviously have very little idea of what your talking about. in refrence to bladers the last tier chain which inflicts Bleed will ruin any player in pvp. you get bleed on you and you migh as well take off your pots and gear and save yourself the money and die. even if the tangible damage of the chain is blocked you can still get bleed on you and then your done. simple. easy its all about the status and debuff. if you cant see the power of chains beyond the simple damage then your missing the overall point.

id say that that is a gross oversimplification of the build. although some of this is true

ok maybe not the weakest i really like bladers burt i find them to do a low amount of dmg
