I just started SRO (it's awesome!!) but I am not sure what to use, I got a lot of my friends to play, but I'm not sure what class to use, Pure str glaiver or a dagger/xbow rogue.

Also is Uranus a good server for EST (live in new york USA)

Glaive is fun, a lot of fun.
I also like how a euro pure str works as well.

Lets start:
The positives of a glaiver is that it does massive damage, has the most hp and can tank very well. A chinese character meant to solo, however it can do party share as well.

A rogue does serious dmg as well high crit possibility. They hit extremely hard however since it is a euro, it lacks tanking ability without a euro party behind it. Moreover when your lvling, this build requires you to be in share party unless you plan to use xbow.

Both the builds are good, depending on the your style. They are both meant to be pure str. Meaning you put all your points into the str button. Being a euro, means you need to be pure str 100% however if your chinese glaiver you can choose to be a hybrid glaive. Meaning you mix it up however still putting more points into str than int. A Chinese character gives you a bit more creativity on what you plan to do with your character, being a Euro you lack that creativity when deciding to pick skill trees.

If you need me to go further into these builds, then just ask.

As for Uranus being a good server for EST...It doesn't really matter because this game has people from Americas, Europe and more. The server is always filled with people that speak English. Almost everyone knows and speaks English fluently but they may not always speak it with each other.

you will get tired of euro chars because they have only 7-8 skills and it takes long time until you get a new one if you are noob, the skills are 4-10-20-40-60-80

Thanks a lot for the more detailed answer!! When I am playing this though, my favorite thing in all MMOS in Pvping and lvling speed, parties arent usually for me, I don't usually level with my friends but we usually pvp together, for that what is better. (I do like the creativity of chinese better though)

Both the Rogue and the STR glaive can level just fine on their own. I own a level 49 rogue/cleric, a level 60 rogue/bard and a level 59 full STR glaive.

The rogue/bard is skilled with Xbow only. I didn't farm the account, I just wanted leveling speed, and I got it. Moving march and noise are great for leveling with Crossbow Extreme on.
A rogue/cleric requires more skill to play and level effectively, but it can tank much more than a rogue/bard with Recovery Division and Bless Spell. My rogue/cleric is skilled both in daggers and xbow, making up for great diversity both in leveling, job wars and PvP. The rogue has massive criticals and is basically a 1-shot/hit-kill build. The downside is, that with Dagger Desperate or Crossbow Extreme activated, the defense and the HP drop massively (HP only drops with Xbow extreme). A rogue can also be handy in a party, as a secondary damage dealer (the damage isn't as good as that of a wizard) or, alternatively, as a lurer. Fast shot has an amazing range increase, which helpts alot with luring mobs.

The full STR glaive, on the other hand, has proven in time to be one of the most stable builds there is. The full STR glaive has been one of the dominant builds since like... forever. :)

It's got massive HP, good criticals, and great tanking ability against magical attacks (with the fan storm series). The build has few flaws, and geared (and skilled right) can be deadly. The glaive tanks well through stuns and knockbacks, but i doesn't have the extra defense a blader has (through the shield), nor does it have the bow's ranged knockback.

Here are three videos, showing the potential of each build.

STR Glaive: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Q6NCBHdlCHo
Rogue/Cleric: http://youtube.com/watch?v=eWAmhiqBEjI
Rogue/Bard: http://youtube.com/watch?v=b-fhB-bzPK8

Hope this helps. :)

Most fun builds are Daggers, and dual axe.
