not quite sure where this one should go...

ever notice how there is always alot more high crit spears floating around than high crit glaives?

ive found countless crit 9, 10 and 11 spears

and ive only found a few crit 6, 7 and 8 glaives

well i did a test to night...

i used a glaive and a spear to see which would do more damage....
(test subject is a full str level 32 - glaive mastery 30)

both of them did around the same damage... it seemed that the spear hit higher most of the time than the glaive...

but the crit of the spear is 10 while the crit of the glaive is only 8... and i found myself critting ALOT more with the spear...

the numbers were different too...

the glaive had 20 phy damage higher than the spear
but the spear had 60 higher mag damage
maybe all this is circumstancial... but i found using a spear to be more deadly...

and ive been thinking about off the wall ideas... and a 90% phy balance spear user... with lighting buffs leveled up high... it might hit stronger than a full str fire glaiver...

any thoughts are cool with me

if youre using 2 same level weapons, spear and glavie, glavie will do more phys. damage, because its str weapon. spear will do more magic damage, since its int.

the critical number on a weapon is just the probablility of a critical hit. the higher the number, the higher the probability.

1 more thing did you sue imbude? if so the spear may come out on top overall

yes i used imbue...

even with my pur str builds... i always use the imbue...

crit doesnt matter toO spear/int users...thats after they get there nuk3s...but before they get there nuk3s at lvl 30+...crit kinda does matter...casue you wanna deal as much dmg as you can right...

glaive users need crit toO be high...becasue they deal more phy dmg & hittin crit with a full str char is a perfect hit...and imbue is just a lil add on dmg...

the reason why your dealin more dmg with a spear is becasue your usin it with imbue...without imbue...glaive will/should deal more dmg...

& it also depends in if your more of a str or int char...
