SP Question

Ok so i used a stat calculator and came to the conclusion that i will need approximately 150k sp. I'm just wondering, if anyone can give me an estimate of how much sp i'll need to farm to reach my goal. I know i'll also gain sp as i level so no need to farm all 150k sp but i just want to know how much sp i will need to farm.

Also, i'm planning to farm sp at 24 instead of the seemingly norm of 16. Will this affect me significantly in any way? In terms of exp, speed, gold, etc?

Thanks

Here is what you are going to need to do, make an equation.

Code: Select all

A = Ammount of SP needed
B = How much SP needed to farm
C = How much SP from each level

I am assuming that after you reach your limit you will level with a 0 mastery gap to get to the cap really fast. Use this site http://stud3.tuwien.ac.at/~e0125557/sro/spgain.html and figure out how much SP you will get with a 0 mastery gap from 24-70. Use the following equation and you should have all your questions answered.

Code: Select all

A = B + C

As for your question as to the level of farming, it is not entirely a bad choice, but it could be better. The reason people farm at lv 16 is because at the bandit stronghold there is nearly instant spawns of bandit archers. You can also get an sos bow which can 2-hit them making it the fastest place to farm SP. It might not be entirely bad to farm at 24 if you cannot buy an sos bow though. Also, the lower level you are the better the ratio between xp/sxp. Meaning, the higher level you are the harder it is to get SP.

This makes a lot of sense to me and since I wrote it all down fast it might be a tad confusing. If there is anything that needs clarification then just ask.

does that list list the amount of sp gained or sxp gained? because in that case, i don't really need to farm because if i keep a 5 level gap from 24-70, i end up with about 200k sp. Can someone verify these results?

its true, with a 4-5 lvl gap it seems from many ppl experience u get enuf sp.... however it takes A LOT to lvl up.....

yea. pretty much, the point of farming is to do some extra work now so you can level up crazy fast and be real strong later.

a somewhat related question. im a lvl 23. is it possible to still farm efficiently? i shouldve farmed at lower lvl

I think its fine at lvl 23. My gap started from 21 and now I'm lvl 27 and have a decent amount of sp. I'm set till lvl 30 if I keep sp farming till then.

I get 206sexp and 385 exp i think from a gun powder with full 4/4 party so every 2 kills i get a sp point.

Aha so you are the same as me. If you don't have any lvl gap, I suggest that you delevel your masteries to 21.

Otherwise you won't or have trouble getting all the nukes at 30

I have most of my masteries at 21 and when I reach 30, Ill have around 1k sp left over.

Lol... I wish I was 70 lol

In my dreams

In other words, farm 40-60 thousand skill points and keep a gap unless you want to have trouble at level 40. :banghead:

cant you just play through the whole game with like a 5 or 6 level gap?

You could, but the downside of leveling with a 5 level gap is that it isnt enough to farm a lot and it is just high enough to make leveling slow. So you will really get a feeling of not accomplishing anything and will probably quit.

i made another thread about my character-everyones said to restart, but i really dont want to....could i just leave my useless masteries where they are for now, and just level my ones i need and delevel the others later? i could always buy skill reallocation potions from item mall

Well I need about 140k for my build as well, here is what iam planing. I have farmed 40k, now lvling with 0 gap all the way, Iam planing to increase my gap to 1-2 depending on the quests offered( like on 1000 blooddevil quest, I will increase my gap). This way I will lvl up fast, get the most out of the quests and have enouph sp for lvl70.

Since you need 150k for your build, you should farm 50k at lvl16(maybe its too late) then lvl with 0 gap, increase the gap on quest heavy lvls to slow your lvling down to complete the quests. And remember when adding your sp income per lvl vs gap, you have to take into account the sp your looking from the xp income from quests.
