[GUIDE] European Subclasses.
This guide has some ideas about subclasses for each primary class you can take with a european. You can take a look at it before posting, but do not post in here criticizing or refering to that guide. Its only for ideas or w/e. The discussion here is of informal kind.


This topic has the purpose of being part of an organized, coordinated discussion on different European Subclasses. There will be several more topics like this one, all about european classes. Please, only post after thinking. DO NOT POST INCONCLUSIVE REPLIES.

If you think you know what you are going to talk about, do the following:
Vote on the poll, and then post why you chose that specific subclass for that primary class. Also, do not refrain from stepping out from the frame. Provide new, original ideas of your own. Post why you think they would work, and a whole array of unique builds might come into light.

Try not asking many questions here, unless they are somewhat related to the discussion.

Flaming WILL NOT be necessary.
If you are sure that someone posted shit, report it, and let the mods take care of that.
But please, do argue with others, we do want a discussion, a debate, but try to refrain from flaming.

Cleric or wiz. As I said for cleric, bad would be best for parties and a good buffer, and wiz would help damage and would be the king of pve and power lvling.

Bard is a strong stand alone class but it isn't quite enough. You either add Cleric or you become a Caster primary Bard secondary.

Why warlock?

If you added warlock you would most likely end up playing warlock more than bard....actually if you added any subclass other than cleric you would most likely end up playing it more than bard.

I'm a Bard/Cleric and I think that's the only way to go with Bard as a main.

With wiz it would be Wizard/Bard instead of Bard/Wizard and Warlock is out of the question. Warlock/Cleric is way better than Warlock/Bard, so why take Bard.

I fully agree. Anything other than bard will make bard your subclass, even if it's at the same class level, and even if you have all the useful bard spells. In my opinion, having something as your main class means that's the class you play when you solo, and for bard that implies cleric subclass.

if you wanted bard as main then bard/warlock is the best.
make one and you'll see why.

I'm Bard as main, Wiz as sub. Used both, love both but love bard more.

Yeah, I use Bard as main and cleric sub. But, if played well you can use them both at the same time. Maybe you won't do that anymore in solo play after lvl 40 (RD), but as for now, I'm just switching weapons all the time.

usually i dont like having a sub and multiple masteries as well.....but i gonna make a bard thanks to you for the overwhelming interest..... and i would go for a cleric sub after i got the 2m sp im planning......but if i cant take the 2m sp or more likely i hit 1m only pure bard my char will become.....
our thief activities really need a support.... at the moment only 2 level 90 cleric and no level 90 bard.... so if im going bard/cleric that would be a nice path

Warlock. Debuffs then hit with Bard nukes.

i love warlock hands down and bard too.

warlock would start off with debuffs, and then try to stun or put him to sleep and then use bard nukes in pvp. crazy combo!

Bards are the best class
they do not need a sub class because they rise over any other class that dares to challenge them

I didn't vote for any of those since I like Bard with no sub. It's really ok to be a simple Bard, in this huge world.

this is one of the builds you really have to know how to play
but generally debuff with warlock quick switch and then nuke
bards have the fastest cast so you should drop people pretty fast
