Warrior/Cleric vs Bladers ADVICE NEEDED!

Hello,

Is it just me or do 2h or 1h/clerics have trouble beating Bladers? Their shields prevent most of your crits, and their kd's prevent the final blows most of the time...some of them have mana shields and some of them have the increase block rate or def move which makes things tough.

The only chance I see for winning this matchup is if 2h has Daredevil double crit or 1 of the hits crit followed by a KD crit which RARELY happens.

At the moment, I can beat pretty much every single build except Bladers >< it turns into a pot war and if I lag then its gg me! =(

Anyone with "experience" can advise how to deal with Bladers using 2h or 1h or perhaps even Axe + Cleric or combination of 2 or 3 weapons etc...??? Otherwise I might just delevel Cleric and use the power of Warlock *sigh*

i am lv 80 of course...

i'm only vs bladers from 75-80 with normal gear...+3/4 probably full blues but full farmed of course and it takes so damn long sigh

well next cap will increase my crit by 1...that might help a little, or maybe i just need to get pimper weapons o.O i currently have 1h, 2h and axe +5

Do you use your cleric skills during battle? Such as orbital healing?
Do you also have 1h skills? Such as shield crush?

I have all the important skills from warrior and cleric tree

and yes i use healing cycles, bless, recovery, rec divisions, even binds for extra dmg sometimes, plus all kb/kd's/stun's moves from what 1h/2h/axe has to offer
and i am well adverse with my weapon switch and comboing all moves together

I personally don't have that much trouble fighting bladers with my orbital healing and skins. Sometimes I use bless when it gets really messy.

The blocking is scary. My suggestion is to space out your skins and bless and probably use heaven glare (+ with shield crush for instant relief) when you need some space to breathe, to get those skins or bless back up (probably HP, too). While you have him in trap, you can attack with glut healing and afterwards sprint assault back into the fight.

From what the usual advice is against bladers is to "out survive" them, if the blader is a tough character to knock down.

but what should my actual tactics be during the fight while i have bless/skins on?

my plan was to dull then bleed/stun...then its pretty much focus on throwing kd combos + daredevils at them until dull finishes and if i get kd while they recover full hp again, rinse n repeat

however its a tiring process and my crit 12 2h doesnt seem to give the daredevil double crits so am i just lacking in damage? should i cast warcry after dull/bleeds and just pure 2h fight them?

You want to continuously dish out damage, since Chinese can pot HP right back up. I usually try to knock the enemy down first, but if I don't I would shield crush and sprint assault - then try to knock down the blader again. If I do get the blader down on the ground, I use triple swing and then dare devil or Bash when the blader gets back up.

Rather than using shield crush, to keep warcry on, I could tank the hits and try again. But, it can get pretty risky, when the blader gets you on the ground. By then, you should pop out your shield when you're on the ground, which means you lose warcry. But! You can always pause the battle with shield crush and heaven glare to rebuff.

During the fight, you should use skins during the battle, never in the beginning. And - always skins first, so you can keep warcry on longer, assuming you're 2H mostly of the time.

I would suggest to use other weapon skills (1H, D-Axes) after you lose warcry.

hmmm...what you said mostly makes sense

but if you were to kd and then shield crush if kd failed, wouldnt u lose warcry? same goes for ur skin usage, after 45 secs and then eventually you want to turn on bless which inevitably switches off warcry? though warcry only has 20 secs cooldown so im not worried with that buff.

perhaps you can demonstrate sometime tonight sro time 8pm+ onwards since that's when i'm available on your server...what's your ign? you can pm me if you wish...cheers!

Well, warcry isn't required to be always on to win. But, you're going to want to have it on to have a more smooth ride. If you really want to keep it on as long as possible, you can sacrifice some bless spell precious seconds and buff up with warcry. With that, you can continue to have warcry on all the way through using skins after bless.

As long as you survive longer, the better chances of you dishing those critical hits out.

My strategy isn't going to guarantee a win, but I hope it helps you out. Keep trying all sorts of strategies, hopefully you'll know what's best during a situation like this.

Maybe also a tip I use sprint assault whenever I can.
For example you start the battle;
-sprint assault (hoping for stun or atleast KB wich give you time for..)
-maddening if he was stunned or KB I use maddening directly (daredevil for you afc)
-after maddening, KD
-if he's knocked down I use double swing followed with bash (triple for you)
- Iron skin on couse he's gonna KD you now
-when he stands up use sprint assault again and start over again.

This is mostly how I do it.
But everyone has it's own playing style so its just about pvp a lot and test everything.

Still I think with sprint assault you can kill it althought a blader is just too hard to kill.

it think 1H s/s with warlock can kill bladers easy by debuff them then stun sleep and 1 or 2 hits crits
