what are the advantages of both?
I mean 90% means it can do a bit more imbue damage but is it enough to counter the damage it loses from not being pure str?

i mean its just about 2k less hp so it doesnt seem like that big of a deal but i wanted to how they do against each other in pvp since i havent made a bow character before

The advantages to a Hybrid bow are usually the ability to be just as functional as a Full Str in damage but without the use of Fire. And thus using Cold makes up for the lost survivability. Pretty much the same thing just depends on how you like your character overall, you lose Speed Buff eventually with Full Str but with Hybrid you don't but instead lose survivability.

Though, at higher caps damage will be the best thing because of chainable KB combo's. So making a Hybrid for future caps might also be for improving your damage overall.

For now there really isn't a difference that can be shown other than more damage given up for less survivability, in the case of Hybrid Bow:Fire:Light instead of Bow:Light:Cold. With Cold it makes them pretty much equal.

2k hp is a loss at 80..I notice the weakness in my fiends hybrid glaive, he also have 2k hp less and he even have the lvl 8 hp passive ;D

I think that the higher imbue dmg wont make up for the loss of crit dmg, but thats my opinion

hm so i made a 90% phy bow and i'm planning 80bow/80fire/70light/70 cold

would that be able to stand up to a pure str bow? with most being 80bow/80fire/80light/60cold? (think that is what most pure str bows are)

edit: forgot to mention but using the char builder thing, with max blues i'll have 100% phy and 50% mag so i can maybe nuke a little with this build too i think

with 50% mag balance and nuke? you are joking with me/us/them/god?

Even a 70:70 can't nuke efficiently...

i know i wont nuke them to death :S but i can still nuke for fun

dont take nukes. You will just have to farm more lol

You can get your nukes at lvl 1 for fun..(fire and ice ones that is) But dont waste your sp on maxing them...you'd be better of doing a bit more bow skills..

You both have knockback skills..So unless you get critted like 2 or 3 times in a row you'd be able to stand against pure str bowers..Your crits will be a bit weaker tho.

90% Phy will be able to use 23% Snow Shield more effectively assuming your going 90 fire, 90 light, 90 pach, 30 cold
