Is the Wizard Skill, Fear, worth getting?

Some people say its useless, others say its awesome

If you like to solo grind and PvP, yes.
If you're a party grinder and never PvP or are not interested in winning, no.

yep.. this skill can save ur ass while fighting giants, and the lvl 80 impact skill can save ur ass while getting surrounded by a couple of mobs (simultaneous attack 5). for pvp though, useless. probably if you cast it in pvp and fail u'll die. it's better to spend those seconds in some nuke.

As a Wizard/Cleric it isn't required. Wizard/Bard and other of the sort it is a strong skill to have ready to use for emergencies. But when you have Bless Spell instead, it will probably hurt you more to cast it and die while casting or it is resisted than it will be to switch to Rod/Shield and cast Bless Spell.

A union mate of mine can only kill me if he fears me before I hit him... So its not completly useless for pvp.
