[Bow] Ice or Fire?

Post by _wolf_ »

Hey my lvl 4x almost 5x bow is running on only lightening and pacheon
I am farming soon and need to know what to update for endgame

I am pure STR bow and need to keep lightening (imbue/speed/PR)
So I can't decide whether to level ice or fire with my pacheon and lightening

I know that ice has phys def and fire has phy attk but which would be more important for a STR bow and why?

Thanks for the help ^_^

30 cold won't help too much, you can skip that.

agree that 30 ice wont help. Make it lvl 20 cold mastery will do - snowshield can be life-savers in jobs.

My build for pure str bow at cap 80 is :
80 pacheon
80 light
80 fire
60 cold

My additional two cents worth:
(cold imbue from 1 - 60, coz opponents below that RARELY get immunity against cold effect and most people, if you count yourself in as well, dont spend much to pimp their gears before 64, so ice usually loosen tight situations for yourself. Ice also works effectively on euro chars without high lvls of holyword buff.) (while fire imbue takes over cold imbue after lvl 60 / 64 ensures maximum output power)

the only problem with that is it would take one heck of a lot of de-lvling. I would love it if it were easier to change skills back and forth like that but the amount of time and money to de-lvl Ice for Fire imbue seems to much of a hassle. :banghead:

The 30 Cold is high enough to get Snow Shield 23%. And trust me, that helps a lot!

Not for a pure str. If you're in trouble just phantom away. With snow shield you won't have enough mana to shoot back. Heck, I'm always low on mana even without snow shield. :)

A lvl 80 with 23% snowshield will not run out of mana because of it. unless u hav 0 int+ and 0 mp+, then u might run into trouble.

I am leveling heuksal up instead of ice. I will have over 20k hp when I get it above level 30.

This is really making a difference, I do not miss Ice a bit =|
