i just started a new character...

im specing in spears, fire and light..

but im doing something different with my stat points

levels 1 -10 i started to put all my sp in str

now from 11-20 im putting my sp into int

and so on untill 80

so it will be 40 int and 40 str

is this a good idea, and has it been done, if so, i would like to read if there are any links

Well, you could do that, but remember that you won't be able to nuke. You would rely only on your weapon skills and your imbue. I don't think it's such a bad idea, at least something different, but I would recommend a 70:70 build (that's around 2 int, 1 str). If you could get a lot of int+ on your equipement with this build, you would be able to nuke.

The 70:70 build is proven to be succesfull with a bow, so why not try it with a spear.

P.s. I know that 70:70 could use the snow shield, but being a hybrid you might pull it off without it. Besides, you can lvl cold to 60 at the 80 cap (the snow shield will be sufficient for 70:70) and to 30 at the 90 cap.
