Which bow build...

Okay so I decided to make a bowman and I'm not sure if I want to go pure str or 70:70. I was hoping I could get some feedback on which to choose. Keep in mind I like hunting uniques as well as pvp, I dont like to die, but I don't like low damage. I know thats alot to ask out of one build, so which of the two do you think would do fairly well in all areas?

You sound like somebody that might want to play a 70:70.

Although a 70:70 heavenly relies on snowshield IMO. Was fighting one yesterday and the damage he put out overall was a bit higher then mine, just the crits arent as deadly as mine. Wich in the end got him fatall and me standing there never going below half of my HP.

I am a fully farmed bower with a good set and still heavenly rely on my crits to win fast in pvp. A hybrid bower does also, just the crits are lower.

Mrfudge is using force with his hybrid bower, I just dont know how that is working out for him right now.

MrFudge is 3:1 STR hybrid, as far as I can remember. He's a STR hybrid with force and lightning... a godlike build IMO.

Just figure:
STR hybrid = huge crits (see liquidsmooth in Highest Damage Contest). At cap 90, force gets division.

Here we go:
AR increase from Hawk+Passive (Pacheon tree) + Parry Ratio decrease, as well as own Parry Ratio increase (Thunder imbue, and concentration, respectively) + Parry ratio and Attack rating decreases (Force tree) = Great crit damage...

Also, force debuffs at cap 90 (division) can only further complement the big damage the build does anyways. STR hybrid is there, so that the build can benefit more from Piercing force and a larger snow shield than pure STR, keeping criticals roughly as high as pure STR.

The 80 cap build is: 80 light, 80 pacheon, 80 force, 60 cold;
90 cap build: 90 light, 90 pacheon, 90 force, 30 cold.

Rather go 70:70 and with full blues you are 85:85 at cap.

Well if i were you i would just go pure str bow cause it OWNZZZ. Ur not gonna die easily and you will do moderate dmg. I think its fun!!

Besides to my knowledge the crit only doubles youre str damage. Thus the increase of damage hybrids get from there buffs doesnt get doubled.

your right crits only dubble your str damage.
but overall dmg will be some higher whit some more mp
