hybrid spear question

i was thinking of making a hybrid spear. does he need a mana shield and stuff from ice?

Yes, you're going to need ice even for a hybrid spear. With spear you lose out on a lot of def as you would get if you were s/s. So, to make up slightly for that loss of def, get the ice tree.

Im pure int spear.
Well, i got cold, yes, but i dont use mana shield much.
I can usually Tank archers without it, and glaviers are a bit harder, but if i get stun, theyre dead ;>
