Rave Melody, Full Str's Mana Heal?

Post by BloodOwnzzz »

So I'm trying to plan my build for Hera and I've decided on a Warrior/Bard with the ability to play as a Bard too. But I've ended up in the situation where I need an MP heal and cannot find one other than Rave Melody. Mana Cycle takes up all my Mana in one cast and I'm guessing Mana Wind is far to weak especially when it also costs a large amount of MP too. I plan to play Bard with other Bards for the Dances so should I just take Rave Melody, Sacrifice HP for MP, or just let him do all the MP healing? And if I should take Rave Melody whats the cool down on it?

And yes I know people say Warrior/Cleric is better but I'm not in the mood to deal with stupid people today so just give me some opinions.

you can cast mana cycle on yourself...

but yeah let full bards cast mana cycle on other people, they heal more anyways with more int

if you are going to bard in party when there are enough warriors you're job is mainly there for dancing (o yeah, you be the one to dance and not main bard as main bard will need mp for healing others and attacking... and you are just going to be running tamobur+dance and using mana wind and discord waves)

use the absolute damage attack too if you want to attack, it heals mp too so it wont drain you, also put mana switch on wizard if main bard didn't already (or switch on all the bots running near you)

edit: and stand in front of the int chars and dont use noise :D >.> at least there will be some what of a wall between mobs and ints or stand behind them so nothingi sneaks up

edit again: about rave melody... i dont use it much, but if cleric is good its fine to use... just with mana cycle on self you wont need it and mana switch helps too

I was also thinking of only taking Dance Of Magic/Wizardry because of how I'm not really planning on making my Warriors dealing much damage and out of all the builds in the game only 2 do not deal Magical Damage. Should I get Valor/Fight or no?

no point in valor... warriors arent going to outdamage anyone with it anyways lol
rogues might get bonus from it but wizards get more

get the dance for magic/mana/healing... since you might want healing/mana if you are in a pt with lots of mobs around

the problem is being a pure str, if you run spells like tambour that cause you to continually lose mp over time as well as whenever they take major damage, you're gonna run out of mp soon. so i dont think getting the offensive skilld should be achoice, that and they wont do much dmg cept maybe the abs dmg ones

Rave only costs HP which is why I figured it. But with the auto MP boost from the Harp and Music Life you should be fine for MP, especially if you wear Robes.

ok...you cant be a warrior and bard at ths same time. Impossible. Subs are completely useless in parties, and unless youre gonna solo as a pure str bard...well gluck. dont take any subs, switching weapons causes your warrior buffs to disappear off ppl.

...This is for when I want to Bard buff instead of Warrior. I'm not stupid enough to try to pull them off at the same time. Buffing as a Bard can let me go afk and if I don't farm the buffs it's just a waste of time for me to be farming Bard at all. I'm not stupid...

I never said anything about doing them at the same time.
