Wizard Lightning Question...

Is it worth getting the whole lightning as a wiz if the only skills i'm going to get is max teleport, max shock, and lvl 1 charged wind?
Seems like a waste of sp...

Lightning skills are extremely useful, max all of them except Lightning Bolt/Chain Lightning. There's that skill that casts fear, CRUCIAL! Then there's Charged Wind that can KB 5 enemies simultaniously, extremely useful in parties or when getting mobbed in PvE, and of course the Teleport.

+1 lightnin is really useful with kb since your a wiz you want to get hit as little as possible. but watch out for fear because sometimes it may drag more mobs to you

fear and knockback are indeed very handy at keeping mobs at bay but some ice skills are better at keeping mobs away from you by freezing/frostbiting them and it will deal superior damage too so i think only maxing teleport and shock as pawnage suggests makes sense, especially if your not wanting to gap farm SP.

i have a qn too

lvl 1 charged wind


is that enough?
will lvl 1 charged wind has the same % of KB-ing a lvl 80 compared to a max lvl charged wind?
that fear skill u need to max cuz of lvl 8 fear to be inflicted onto lvl 80 but is lvl 1 KB enough or need to max?

i mean we max light nukes NOT for the dmg really, its mainly for the disabling skills and fear status

yes its surely enough at lvl 1. the knockback rate remains equal, no matter if charged winds are lvl 1 or maxed. and for the damage you dont need to max it neither because that will be maxed as low as another lvl 20 skill thats at lvl 1 or 2.

max charge wind (which becomes charge squall at 80) + fire nuke = death to any lvl 80.

whereas if u try to only fire nuke, a pure str can take a hit and then kill if theyre quick enough.

you will have to explain me why knockback would be better at keeping your opponent at bay then freeze/frostbite/dulled. to me ice and earth seem equally capable at keeping your opponent at bay plus they deal superior damage and are more usefull in pve. i could be wrong but that my view on this.

because knockback cancels out the opponents skill instantly and causes a minor stun at the end before the opponent can start an attack again, that is good enough to allow you to launch a 2nd deadly nuke.

im pretty sure a fully farmed wizard with a good staff can 1hit anyone though, so sometimes you dont even need the knockback against a lot of people unless theyre full sun.

but yea, pve id take ice over lightning.
just because monsters arent immune to ice.

earth is always a must, 2nd strongest line next to fire.

take fire, earth, light and ice... yes all 4
since your not mastery capped just take all and farm some xD
