I knew bards at a higher level are awesome but I didn't see that till last night when I noticed a main bard guy was dealing over 20k dmg with normal attacks (meaning no active skills used). I mean wow, I was dealing 22k dmg with my friend's capped nuker with the fire/lightning nukes.

Is main bard worth it? Is there any main bard PvP video out?

bard is nice for buffs go cleric as sub and everyone will want you in there party

Bard as a main is surprisingly strong.

I am a lvl 80 Bard sub Cleric on Mercury.

People forget that the bard attacks are as strong as most wizard attacks and that they launch and cool down faster. At lvl 60+ you have 3 instantaneous nukes (meaning they lauch at least as fast as your non skilled attack). 2x 180% with a 1 second cool-down and 1x 368% with a 6 second cool-down.

In the time it takes a wizard to cast Meteor a bard can fire at least 2 of these nukes. This always means the wizard is dead before he gets a chance to fire (unless he has a cleric buffing him).

It doesn't matter if you cant 1 hit KO people when you can 2 hit as fast as others 1 hit...

Also the bard defense is very strong for an INT character. When fully buffed I have all the following activated all simultaneously: Holy Word, Bless, Recovery Division, Healing Cycle, Mana Cycle, Guard/Mana Tambour, noise, swing march. If I'm in a party with another who has bard skills I'll have an extra Dance and Tambour added to that list. Using dance of healing puts you on a par with any STR char in terms of defence (especially if you wear the cleric's lite armor) although in practice finding a second bard to actually party with is usually hell.

I'n pvp I am extremely strong vs any INT char and any non ranged STR char. Where a bard gets pwned is against ranged STR such as Rogue and Chinese Bow, I still havent found a good way to fight them yet.

Bards own... Right now I am a pure bard on sparta only lvl 32 and i can one or two hit rogues and wizards with ease...

I agree, I've got a Pure Bard 3x on Alexander and it's a blast to play. Plus I like the fact that not a lot of other people play it. Sometimes when I'm solo grinding I'll notice people stop to watch and see what I'm doing and what skills I'm using. I haven't got him anywhere near Shadroth's lvl, but I can tell you even at this level, the attacks are pretty good. But you just have to know your role, if people bring you into a party, they want you for the buffs, so you have to be prepared to play a support role instead of a nuker.

Big surprise I'm a rogue and I guess (haven't tried it out yet) that a pure str blader with a decent gear can kill me in 2 shots
