Hey, I'm new to this game and need help choosing my first character. I've decided that I want to be European and that I want to be a melee character. That brings my choices down to Warrior and Rogue. Which one of these two would be the easiest for a first time player to be successful with? If it's not too much trouble, could you also include which type of the class(1h sword/shield. 2h, dual wield axes, dual wield daggers, or xbow) and which subclass would be the easiest to do well with. Also, feel free to give me any hints on any general things about the game that most noobs seem to have trouble with.

Im warrior sub rogue.
Its a good build if u plan to party a lot
But i u tend to solo more go xbow
A good sub to go with xbow is bard for speed and it is also good
when theres already a few rogues in the pt, cuz u can go bard.

Warrior/Cleric would be a good choice if you are much in a party.

If not I would go Warrior/Bard.


But yeah, it's your choice, I just like Warrior better..

And, I prefer 2H=>Fast kill.

rogue kills faster then warrior but if it comes to survivality 2h wins K.O. and for pvp cleric rocks

Rogue is easier in grinding, i.e lvl up, at later lvls like 50s+ you can lvl up on monsters about 9 t o11 lvls higher than you.. but you gotta know when to run, and where to grind..

Warriors are better in parties, and better in survivability.. 2H sword can grind on monsters 9 lvls higher than him at higher lvls, but compared to rogues, Rogues can sometimes 1 hit kill a monster... adding to that their range...

1H sword is way better for parties...

As for pvp, Well, in my opinion, Rogues are better, unless they face a warrior having iron skin on :S

1h got a sheild and br increase and phy def increase passives.

Depends ... 2h has alot of attacks that can interupt target in attacking (KD , KB , Stun)
while 1h has only dull and one stun ...

People usually take 1h with Warlock sub , and 2h with Cleric sub ...
That makes 2h more survivable than 1h ...

I dont know how you can stillthink that 2h has more survivability...

If were talking about same lvl mobs 2hs can 2hit most same lvl mobs while 1hs are constantly comboing away on mobs 2-3 skills each time. And at lvl40 over shield doesn't really matter iron skin is all you need if you can't kill the oppenont in 45 seconds then you probaly won't, so no need to push it. And about survialbilty if nether person has a cleric with them when being mob both character won't live long, sure 1hs has block and kb and dull yet your damage output is low taking a longer time to kill a mob, while 2hs can 2hit most mobs thier lvl although slow a bit they do kill faster then 1hs so it all really just depends on the person if he knows what to do when being mob. Just cause your 1hs doesn't mean you will survive, same goes to 2hs.
