hey i have a char that is lvl 33 pure int s/s, i have 3 gaps and i want to know something about the skills
my question is that do i need to get the sword chains i have the 1st book of it and now when i got the light nuke mobs die easily, so wat r ur suggestions do i need to get it, and i am getting the sword dance skill so i won't need the chains anymore, so wat do u think i should do, i don't want to waste sp on skills i will use less often in future

I suggest not getting the chains since only the Lightning Chain, 7x skill, holds real potential(sp?) for ints since it gives the status effects....so put off getting the Chain series til you're farming in the later lvls.

Though, only a suggestion ^.^;

They can be in some cases..though you gotta understand, s/s nuker's fine w/ just nukes, shouts, phantom, kd/stab and if they needa tank castle shield suffices (grinding perspective)

I'm speaking from a pvp perspective in the 1st post. Normally when a nuker solo grinds they go for mobs they can nuke + shout. ^.^;

The chains are not nessesarily useless but they aren't all that, as your an int. Your damage output with your nukes would prob be faster, instead of giving burst of 500 damage over a period of 2 seconds which gives your opponent time, even though a lil to pot. You are mostly gonna need k/d and stab. Like that guy with the uber long name said wait till later.

does this apply to int hybrid s/s as well

if i will be fine with nukes,shouts kd/stab then i don't need to get the chains or do i? but for the last chain it has some effect that it can do, so do i need to get it? or i will be fine with nukes? i don't really want to waste more sp cuz i am not farmed lol

read what he wrote. He said that unless your planning to farm or planning to go to the lvl cap, don't lvl chains

If you plan on pvping (cape or jobbing) at later levels, just wait and sp farm to get the chains...the new lightning chain gives status effects that help you deal even more damage. So, yes, if you plan on pvping later on, get the chains.

Chains are helpful in pvp, you just gotta know how and when to apply them...(take into account I found them useful even before the new chain with status effects). As avenger, or yoshi-noopies said, chains don't deal as much dmg in comparison to your nukes and KD/Stabs combination, however they still can wear away your opponents HP giving you a better chance to take the win.

I've found chains to be the most useful to get in a couple thousand damage quickly before you start your nuke 'n KD/Stab session. I remember pvping against a full-farmed capped blader (before euro and skills update) and it basically was a pot-battle until I mixed up my tactics a little...Seeing that the ol' KD/Stab 'n nuke wasn't quite cutting it I added in a few chains and it got the job done...You just gotta remember that each and every skill has its purpose, you just gotta know when and how to use them ^,^

if you really want a chain cuz it looks cool get blood chain.

that unlocks ascension chain at lvl 51.

then ascension chain unlocks lightning chain at lvl 73.

completely useless for fighting monsters, nukes+lion shout are much better.
pvp, eh u can do without them. Most high lvls dont use chains.

agreed...chains very important for pvp, for status (division and bleed) is the difference maker.

get 3, 4 , 6 chains only aft u are full farmed (leave out 5)
use only nuke + shout in pve
