Chinese character- ultimate tank?

I was looking at guides for a str glavie with fire/light force, and I got to thinking- what about an ice/light mastery? I'm more than certain it has been done before, which is all the more reason to ask. I want to make a tanking character- one that does decent damage, but takes a long time to kill. I don't PvP, so for now I want to focus on the PvE. I assume a blader str would work best with this? Also, any advice on what skills to avoid? Magic attacks I don't plan to get because I'd be an str build, but what other skills are not worth it? I'm fairly new to chinese characters, so forgive me If I do not understand some things.
Edit: The reason I chose ice/light is because ice force raises defense while lightning raises parry. I'd focus sp into bicheon and ice more than lightning as well.

imho, you shouldn't go bicheon/ice, but more to the glavie sided. Full str glavie with ice/light can tank a bunch, and deal decent dmg. I should go ice imbue then because they'll have frostbite & stun together = pwnage. Anyways, that's my opinion

only problem is when you get to lvl 77+ most players are ice immune so if you are pvping or jobbing your just weaker because if that imbue

the reason I said blader is because of the shield. The most defense, most parry possible- that's what I was going for. I'm used to a bard, so I'm okay with being weaker than other people, just as long as I can take on many monsters at once.

I think pure str chinese blader aint the ultimate tank. With little mp already, you're intending to use snowshield, you can really tank only and do nothing else. It'ld be sick to have 50% snowshield, but with that 50% snowshield, your mp definetely dries out pretty fast, faster than x-large can pot enough to let you use other skills.
IMO hybrid int s/s will pwn. Though not as much hp as pure str, it has a decent 13k or so. With manashield at 50%, attacking skills still can operate while tanking, and it does more damage than pure str.
Your concept of ice is logical but i think keeping ice mastery at lvl 30 is sufficient, you should concentrate on light and fire more. Without fire, you're as good as your victims - vulnerable to ice. BTW ive met mand lvl 72+ n 80s that arent immuned to ice, so what I can say is that, if you wanna piss them real bad, just use book 1 lvl 1 ice imbue when you encounter these people, it'ld be good enough. The damage difference for the imbue cold lvl 1 and soul fire lvl 5 aint much, just 1k or so (for pure str) LOL XD. As for phy defense, there's always cleric. And even you max your ice, the cleric's phy def buff is still higher anyway, so dont see much of a point here =)

I don't intend to do much partying, either, since I play on csro. Finding someone who speaks English is more difficult than people say. Since I only have enough points for 3 trees, I figure it would be helpful to get the build that means survival for me. And I know that without fire mastery my attack power will be pathetic. Maybe I should focus on something else. Would an ice/fire mastery for a blader work out well? Also, to clarify, I intend to sp farm, so I don't want any gaps between my builds.
