Warrior switching light armor to heavy !!

I'm not sure if that effects the character, and just wondering that i set my default aromor when creating the character to light armor, and now i think it would be better i be a heavy armor since im a warrior, so would it have any effects on the charactar in any ways ? I'm a 1H Sword/Cleric full str.. and im also thinking of adding some dual axes skills for future to do more quick kills with easy monsters..

Heavy Armor gives the most Physical Defense, but lowest Magical Defense, while Light Armor gives Medium Physical and Magical Defense
