So I'm building a s/s ice light nuker. At a higher lvl I was planning on only using light nukes, but since from lvls 30-50 ill only have 1 light nuke, i realize ill have to use ice nukes. Based off of that, i have a question...

Are the ice nukes as aweful as the description makes it sound? If so how will this effect my grinding? Should I get fire to 30 as a secondary nuke?

Depending on your level it's probably wise to get fire to 30 for the sake of grinding faster. Shock+lion shout is just not the same as 2 nukes(and often not as much dmg either).

If you're going with a standard build I reccomend;

Weap tree 90
Fire 30
Ice 90
Light 90

and that's for the 90 cap obviously, but it's wise to think about the 90 cap already, since it'll take a while before you cap ;>

Any other opinions? I'd like to hear a few more ideas before making my decision

If you dont want to lvl up fire you could also lvl up first ice nuke to lvl 1, and do first lightning nuke + ice nuke + shock lion shout and then heaven lion shout when you get that skill

This is what I would do. You should get the 2nd book of ice nuke when you can, you only need lvl 1 of the first book to get it.


Though actually you should have lvl32 fire for the physical buffs if you use any weapon skills, and more importantly at higher lvl you can be status immune with fireshield+accessories. If you do this you could just get fire nuke lvl 1 it wont waste to much sp.

In my expeirience, Ice nukes are absolutley crap. But the Light nuke+shout should be good, and if you have wep skills then use them also. Fire is a really good tree for Nukers, if you just lvl it up to like 43 to get Burn nuke lvl 1 , then by the time you need to delvl it for Mastery points, you should have no trouble getting gold at the higher lvls.
