PURE STR GLAIVE(NEED LEGIT LVL 80's opinion)

Hello all,
Ive been playing sro about year and half and Ive never builded pure str character. Im planning to create a pure str character when new server come out. Ive been reading guides about glaice AND bow. Bow is med tanker but fast lvler, gliave is excellent tanker and high hitter but slow lvler. So i need some lvl 80 pure str peoples pro opinion plz help me pick!! :!:

Hmm,
i'm a level 80 pure str bow on persia..
and it's descent.
my cousin is a level 80 pure str glavie on persia too. xD
we're both fully farmed..
and ugh..
when we pvp, it's like.. my chances of killing him is pretty low. =X
iuno.. being a bow from level 1 to 80..
it seems so boring.
you don't get any status,
all you get is KB and stun..
Glavies.. you get bloth KB and stun and dull status.
it's pretty good i guess.
hmm.. if you want to be pretty good..
i'd recommend being a glavie
it's my opinion and bows are so boringgg
all they do is shoot colored arrows.

glaive is OK for lvling but not as fast as a nuke, I enjoy glaive but there are so many of them out there, between the 2 i would say to go glaive, mainly since its a new server and there wont be a bunch of sosuns running around like on the older servers.

bowers are meant to be support not 1v1 , urself u will prolly have more fun in job pvp with bower since u can shoot from a distance to help ur team and most ppl dont try and kill bowers 1st since they usually just phantom away and run so no point chaseing a bower.

it deppends what u want to be, a 1v1 pvper or haveing fun in job wars

As a lvl 80 glaiver, i suggest glaive because its sexy, strong, and is quite possibly the most versatile build.

it changes. most people are going to say Bow simply because its the only build that has had a increase in power with the new skills and so recently.

just like how everyone said INT's are going to pwn STR's because they have snow shield.

just like how everyone said STR's own in 70cap, because they can tank and kill.

Like what Lust4MiKo said, he/she reckons bow is boring, whereas others think glavies are boring. So it depends

Damn right, sir! Imagine a thief run with a blader and 2 archers - this is how our guild does

BTW, I wanted to write glaive was boring, but yeah, it's just the matter of taste.

Lust4Miko was a non farmed level 76 a few days ago and asking for advice how to play with a pure str bow char, I need to know youre secret about leveling up so fast and allready get boring with it.

And as moon.ninja said it totally comes down to youre opinion. You want to have awesome hp and being able to kill about anybody and tank, be glavie. Do you want to be a strong support char be bow. I however dare to see I do well in 1 on 1. But meh, I see loads of bowers that dont do well.

i heard that theirs a set order to do the max damage..

1. strong bow
2. devil bow
3. anti
4. knock back
and by the time you're finished w/ it all your skills are refreshed. =X
is that right..?
any one got any tips? =p

Sorry, wrong about the level. But still farming 40k in 2 days is awesome.

IMO....go bow...

btw i am a glaive one level away from 80....of all the str builds glaive is the med tanker/med hitter...bow hits higher tanks less and blade hits lower tanks more...

Phanthom away with a bow...KB - Stun - high crits.
-cant run with a glaive..you arent range you are melee...no point...btw if you are using a glaive and have to run then the person is going to kill you regardless.

Against sun gears + weapons glaives will die more than bows....cuz we were made to take dmg unless of course you have sun yourself

then go for it!!!

or maybe even kill em but thats not what you asked xD

i prefer bow, cuz its awesome when you are fully farmed and you have force up to lvl 80, by using those vital spot skills that lowers phy and mag def, pary and hit ratio, phy and mag atk dmg, when these are already casted, your crits will increase and the dmg of the enemy is lower, when your death is near, just heal yourself..

Hmm....I haven't had a high lvl bower yet and only had a pure int spear (which has the same skills as glavie). Personally I think the heuksal skills are boring, but others disagree. Why not go to lvl 20 or so with bow and heuksal skills. At that lvl you can pretty much say if you find anyone of them boring and then you can start a new character with the one you like. Really, going from lvl 0-20 will take you only a small amount of time, especcially since you're not going to be farming...

well im blader and with the 90 cap coming in june-july we also get a phy attck skill decreases phy def of shield and adds a load of phy attck to ur blade around 5200 for sun lvl 64+7 shield and we gona get new stab and new kd so id say try blade and btw there is only 1 tank thats blader

Wait...you have 2 topics open, an INT Nuker and an STR Glavie...

Which one are you going to be???

If you do decide to be an STR I would recommend Bow because it only gets better (the skills are also amazing, especially the crit increase)

im pretty sure glavie does more dmg then bow does it not ?but im only lv.5x so correct me if im wrong.

nah, the skill probably wont even come out for us, and even if it does it wont be 5200 bonus dmg, that would be imba, it would be like changing the glaviers sse's stun duration to 2minutes

it says i'm a level 80 bower and the dood is asking for a level 80's opinion.

i zero gap'd it and the 40k sp is the max out the rest of my fire and light.
90 cap won't be coming soon so zero gapping is fine w/ me

You said str char right? But you didnt specify Chinese Str char, if I didnt read wrongly, so IMO go for euro if you want str char, like warrior or rouge.
For warrior they have tons of HP, they can tank and their damage equivalent to Chinese pure int nukers.

Else if you wanna go for Chinese Str chars, forget about str glavier. As a str glavie you pwn until lvl 65+, thats the end. After that you get pwned by hybrid int, euro warriors, warlocks, wiz and sometimes even rouges.

At cap 80, even with decent +5 set n +7 glavie, the damage doesnt penetrates through a full farm int's snowshield (50% reduction), and they keep constantly nuking 9k - 11k. Pure Str Glavie lvl 80 has only 21k hp+. Maybe you can try pure str archer hopin the crit kills the nuker before it kills you, or be a pure str blader and tank it.

IMO I see the most potential in Hybrid Int S/S and Pure Str Blader among Chinese race - at cap 90 or 100
