what kind of armor and skills should a bower use?

wear garment and use all bows skills except for autumn wind (u cud also drop mind bow but its good for farming), go 80 fire and 80 light.

+1, however i maxed Mind Bow and it was kinda useless. Got rid of it straight away. Best Bow Build is Pure STR IMO

hybrid str is the best bow build.
but its gotta be the right %.

pure's noncrits are too weak, and i never found myself going below 3k hp anyway. It's always been an 8k nuke or 8k crit killing me, overkill.

i went hybrid str. Good non crit, and crits the same strength as a pure str.


and if you get into trouble and need to tank, whip out the 30% snow shield.
the pure str can barely use 20%, and forget about it against nukers.

One of the first times I disagree with you there fudge =|.

In my opinion STR bower is the best. Being level 80 and farming, I jet have to fight a hybrid bower that could beat me without critting a couple of times after eachother.

The hyrbid relies just as much as the strs on its crits to win, atleast that is my looks on things. The snowshield is fine for 2 mins, but I can knockback + try to stun youre ass for 2 mins, works with nukers, should work with bowers and then finish any hybrid bower.

full str 80 fire 80 pacheon 80 lighting 60 ice

there must be real shit hybrid bowers in your server.
and no, we dont rely as much on crits to win as a pure str.
though i can't talk, im force bow. That's an additional defense cut on your behalf, attack cut on your behalf, and more mp for me ;D

he needed a crit to win lol.
but im just sayin against a pure str with a sun bow in armor

that was before skills update.
now..
low on hp >> knockback

or snowshield and drain pure str MP if he tries to use it too.

but theres no argument to be won, bow's a support character.

I agree with fudge on this one. Im a hybrd str bow too. And being at 76 i can tank 80 farmed char pretty well altough my blues are horrible. Arrow knock back has an amazing effect on the tankability of archers. And my 350% does pretty nice dmg without crit.
Some ppl even ask me if im a int bower

And another thing all archers use 5 arrow combo knock back alot. This attack has no crit increase. So pure str dmg suffers more while using this.

Figure this will be a never ending battle .

The euro buffs that you talk about benefit my build just as much as yours. I still die slower with them then you and youre overal damage still is a bit higher.
However, looking at the damage contest pure str build crits harder. Considering that IMO bows always need a crit to win against other str builds. I prefer my build.
Int based builds dont really need a crit, I just 2 hit them. Figure you can do the same
