Robe for Rogue/Cleric?

Post by Mefra »

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of switching to Robe for my Rogue. I already know that my physical defence will be lowered quite a bit, but as a rogue I can use all the speed I can get. Offcourse, if I had bard as a sub I would stay with light armor, but since I've got Cleric...

Now, would this be a very bad decision or not? Pure str archers, pure str rogues and glaviers will be a mayor danger, but all those wizzies will have to hit me 1 more time (hope so ;-)).

Hm... I suggest to stay with light armor .... I think you will get one hitted by wizard anyway ... but if they see you. Rogues ussualy die fast anyway ... Your only stuff is to go stealth and rape  .... then run like prick :P
The way of the rogue .... so IMO Robe / Light armor doesnt matter .... :)

But ... I recomend to stay with the light armor ... :) :D

im a rogue/bard in robes

i really dont think light armor is good since well, i make all my kills with ce/dd on so the light armor and robe difference isnt much when they are on

and only time they are off is on giants, and with the kd/kb from xbow, i dont need extra def before pot can kick in again

the difference between light armor and robe grows more apparent as you move up in degrees....and with DD and EX the difference is even more noticeable...and bard subclass sucks anyway

When you can kill ints in 1-2 shots, it's really not desirable to have more defense against them. Either way, you want to have more defense against strs since you won't be fighting long against ints, and more defense against wizards is pretty useless. They will 1 shot you in dd/ce and will do it without those anyway.

Hmm...same arguments as I had to keep light armor...

Is there anyone who already tried it out? (HIGH LVL) The thing is that I'll probably die with light armor in 1 or 2 shots anyway...same as with robe...

going by npc d8 gear (plus/blues will do same to both if same so npc is good to compare i think)

light armor will have 36.9 more phy def and 59.5 less mag def than robes

light armor total 369.7 phy and 591.4 mag
robes total 332.8 phy and 650.9 mag

so i choose robes since i use xbow and CE doesn't reduce mag def so I figured might as well go with more mag def, and i rarely pvp 1 vs 1 so i shouldnt be fighting close enough to be hit with phy... xbow has a phy damage absorption passive too

and bard sub is great >.> better than cleric for parties
