True. Actually you cannot even cast that skill on yourself, you can only cast on others, and to mantain the buff you need to keep the cleric rod equipped.
EDIT: Sorry, im not sure but i think i was wrong, actually you can use it on yourself.. But the rest of what I said is right.

Body blessing you can cast on yourself and as many others as you want. Trick is that when you switch weapons the buff dissappears, or they leave your range.

Because Im afraid to spend SP even though I have plenty I hate wasting SP.
What skills stay on other party members(not yourself) when u put it on them and change weapon?
I think body blessing does,is there anything else?

On party members, the two defense buffs stay (Body and Soul Blessing), the two stat (str/int) buffs (Force and Mental Blessing) do not stay when you remove rod.
It's not hard to answer guys...too bad none of you knew the answer.

Ditto Torinchibi's answer, dunno bout you guys, but my cleric def buffs stay even when I die and res back in town.
Removing the cleric rod doesn't make any difference either.
