Is it me or are Dual Axes desperately overlooked?

To me (at least on paper) there are 2 great features from dual axes:
- Their main means of crowd control is stun.
Unlike KD, that means you won't lose DPS from an assisting caster.
Unlike KB, you don't have to chase your target constantly and risk a bad bodypull.
- They rely on combos.
Meaning shield blocks have to be calculated for each blow.
One of the combos deals more damage when (among other things) the target is stunned, which can be achieved with both a combo and the sprint assault.

So all in all this look like a darn fine, party-friendly line with sustained damage.

Why exactly do so few users seem to advocate going that way? Still stuck in the "1vs1 cape fight outside DW" mentality?

The main reason people don't like dual axers is not because of their role in pt, but because of their PvP ability (as you've stated). They neither have the high attk power of 2Hers (thus not resulting in instant-KOs) nor do they have the defensive power of 1Hers. In the end, they're just average. Stuns help, but the axers are screwed if the stuns don't work. However, a 2Her can immediately use KB/KD after sprint assault to immediately KO the opponent, while 1Her can use shield thrash and other stuff to repel attacks and tank it out. Dual axers need to use multiple attacks and chains to KO their opponent, hence giving the opponent more time to fight back if the stuns fail.

Actually, the attack speed of dual axe combos is faster than the single blow KD/KB from the other lines (which also only have a "chance" to land). So the stun can interrupt those moves.

I took a dual axe,It's awesome and really fun in party, with a warlock giants and pt mobs are almost constantly stunned.

2h skills and the whole build in general looks so boring to me,every skill looks the same.

....It's the same reason bladers and glaviers don't use chains in PvP. You can heal between hits, which makes all the attacks pretty useless vs chinese, but vs non-healing euros dual axes work pretty well.

2nd reason: If you are going to be switching between warrior weapons and warlock or cleric rod, you might as well keep the shield or, be able to deliver a nice 1 shot crit KO hit after switching.

3rd reason: Being average is ok and all, but you can't kill and you are a bad tanker, so in the end it doesn't really fit your needs. However, it is still the better weapon in mass PvP when you have a wizard and a cleric in your party so you can stun instead of KD and still take the dmg, while at the same time disabling targets.

Really, 9D axes look super bad ass, and I would love to see some people using them.

If you are fully farming, you might as well make the best of your mastery and try out all weapons. You might be surprised how good axes are when you use your warrior as a distraction instead of trying to get the kills yourself. If you are going axes, you should realize that euros are your killing targets and the chinese should be distracted with those stun skills.

you realize that the DoT's of warlock has two attacks on it? One is a magical damage that still hits you no matter what, and a effect damage (burn, posion). Now holy ward protects from burn and the posion damage but not bleed and the debuffs. Holy Ward wont protect you from 75% of warlock skills. :P

if its any consolation i prefer to have a Axe warrior as my tank in party than having a 1H or 2H warrior....they don't KB or KD they only stun....
