I plan on getting this skill and I noticed another player using it and it fires 3 separate bolts forward instead of what I assumed would be one that pierces.

What I want to know is, if aimed at a single enemy, does all three bolts do dmg to the same mob or is just one hit registered?

Yep it's just like AoE damage from lightning imbue for example.

its more like that sword cut skill that hits 2 people

Really this skill is bad for an euro char, even more if you grind with Xbow Extreme the dmg buff activated. You dont really want extra mobs hitting you.

I just keep it at Lv1 because its really useful when killing low lvl mobs.

i use it a lot

use the 1 shot to link attacks

use 3 shot to draw mobs and i can finish all 3 with long shot/power shot/blast shot, kills 3 mobs before they get to you since you can finish with fast shot then move to next really fast

Fast shot is awesome when used right ^_^

i don't really use it for solo cause my skills go like this:
Long shot ->Blast Shot -> Power Shot = dead mob

If i'm in party, then it's:
Long Shot -> Intense Shot -> Fast Shot -> Power Shot (repeat as necessary)

its really good to attract mobs or to finish them off.

for example you attack a mob and he is almost dead, but now he is running towards you ready to attack. well to prevent taking in damage from him and finish him off quickly you use Rapid Shot and its a dead mob on the ground.

I didnt said Fast Shot was useless, Rapid Shot above lv1 is.

Yeah i use Fast Shot a lot to finish mob.

What i said is Rapid Shot is quite bad unless you grind on mobs lower lvl than you and you don't use Crossbow Extreme.

Else its just useless pots use and getting the risk to die. And you dont really get kills faster using it either, because with the dmg buff you kill mobs with 2-3 skills anyway, like Distance/Long Shot + Intense + Fast.

Also, with crossbow, its really easy to target mobs, no need to attract them to you that way. You can get them from where you are most likely anyway.

But hey if you have lot of SP and are the kind of guy that wants all the skills available, go for it, i just say that in my opinion Rapid Shot dont have any real use in PVP and PVE and i would rather save the SP and put them on my sub instead.

Only use I have for Rapid shot is, killing multiple low lv mob. Attracting mob. real useful on traderun, just spam them against multiple npc thieves, and u will find urself running around with 20+ npcs after u looks awesome.
