plz help, which 1 wud be mre usefull in both PVE and PVP? devil cut or lion shout?

i use both :/
cut is like an extra lion shout, a bit weaker but it works to finish monster so i can light nuke + shout, fire nuke + cut, and not have any cool downs

i'm not exactley an SP farming guy, farming for combos is a killer so i doubt i want dat lol

Same here, I have both. I find that I use cut more in pvp because of the better range, but shout alone should be sufficient for pure int s/s.

you won't get much damage out of devil cut as a pure int because your str is really really low.

unless you are hybrid, which needs both, that's a different story since hybrid have some str, you get more damage on a imbued cut blade then a imbued shout. also the low mp cost is a +

proven by me when i was playing my int s/s hybrid

unless you are going hybrid get shouts only

cut lvl 1 good enough. no need more. unless you gonna farm which you said unlikely.

Cut also does a little more damage, but for pve the splash of shout is more suited.

I used both. The level 58 cut is really cool :>

For pure int I would go for lion shout the splash is great and the damage is great.

For hybrid I would go for the blade cut, mainly because since a hybrid has more phy attack the crits on the cuts will produce more damage overall using cuts then the shout would.

Hey well guy i have to disagree with most of u..
i have a lv 65 9 gap farming pure int s/s 117% mag balance and i have both
evil cut and heaven lion shout.. well shout has range but cut blade does morre dmg the shout especially when u crt.
In higher lvls u will want some extra hp so u need str on ur equip which rizes the dmg of cut again overall i do about 2.2k at devil eye lv 70 wit hshout 2.6k with evil cut and over 3k when evil cut crts.

Welcome to SRF, Especially since we are in agreement

but let's not forget the bicheon skills need imbue to be powerful for a int. so if your imbue runs out it's much better to just use a shout than imbue+cut (imbue is very mp hungry).

PS: i use sword dance instead... a bit aoe and more powerful than cut.

get snake dance its like a SHout, but it splits the damage into 3 parts

i use cut on pvp alot i use shout only in pve like a finishing hit

shout for everything except pvp
