How to build a pve/support only char?

Post by Temptation »

I'm thinking of going a grind/support char only build, chinese.

I have these options in mind, and all of them are planned for the 90 cap:

90 Bow str
90 Ice
90 Light

90 Bow str
90 Fire
90 Force

90 Bow str
90 Fire
90 Ice

90 Spear int hybrid
90 ice
90 light

Or suggest others

Once again I'm looking not for a pvp build, but the best pve/support build that is aimed at supplementing damage in a guild war and at grinding at mobs, say, 5 levels above char.

Pacheon users (of any stat balance) make excellent support chars, and are decent in pvp as well (it wont matter which masteries you choose). If you're really thinking of chi support chars, then its probably a char with force (healing) mastery in mind.

So maybe full str pacheon (heuksal or bicheon works just as well), force (healing) and lightning. Just be careful if you choose force (healing) mastery, as the higher cap you go, the weaker your char will be offensively.

P.s force (healing) mastery has vital spot series debuffs, that work like euro warlocks. So they can help "increase" damage done by the party to a single target.

pve/support build that is aimed at supplementing damage

ice and force are a must
ice for pve, force for vital spots
but since u said Guild War, force may be useless thx 2 the cleric debuffs holyword etc.

Euro builds like cleric, bard are more meant for support build than Chi char...so full support build will be bard/cleric or warlock/cleric

Very keen in making another build:
Warlock/Cleric

The reason why I chose ice or light is because of the grind rate that both provide. Ice has the ability to grind higher mobs because of freeze/frostbite and light has the ability to move faster at lower mobs. I prefer to choose ice over light because of the extra phy defense that's provided in case I get mauled to death. I'm worried about having force in my set because it doesn't provide much to grind, which I plan to do with a 0 gap from levels 1-72.
