Do u think mountain shield is a need pvp or job hunting

you should go for castle sheild instead or ironsheild which is the higher lvl of castle sheild

Mountain shield increases br for phy attacks. The way I see it, try and get ironwall shield as a priority. Absolute reduction in phy damage is better, gives you consistent, predictable results (classic play).

There are uses for an increase in br (even for only phy based damage). If you are facing a formidable opponent that can use phy based damage to just one hit you (a rogue lvl higher than yours, with an exceptional crossbow for example) that even using ironwall shield would not help at all (say from past encounters), then your only chance of surviving would be a successful block. In this situation, you rely on the increased chance of blocking and getting no damage done to you, maybe you could kd and stab him/her to death before they land a successful hit to you (this is known as romantic play).

My char uses bicheon mastery maxed (pure int s/s) so I'm maxing out both types of shield defense skills, to give me more options.

The thing about these skills is, they increase your existing BR by x %, they don't give you an extra x % of BR on top of yours, out of 100.

This is why no one uses them.

if u are pure str, mountain shield is important when vs nukers/wiz

but if u are int, castle/ironwall will be of higher priority to get than mountain shield...u can always get mountain shield aft u farmed at higher lvl 70+ ... it comes handy vs nuker/wiz too

In addition it is very useful against INT hybrid spear who uses weapon skills. If you block a hit that would have been a stun/knockback/crit it would have been much more useful then just a magic defense boost.
