When discussing char skills and builds

Lets be constructive here. I know alot of you have a wealth of experience to share, and you should too. Many new players are at a lost with the amount of choices, and different options available in which direction they should go with their beloved char. This is a good thing, substance that makes a great game.
You have to accept that there is no best answer, no ideal build, no best build, but only optimal builds. There is a difference between trying to make the ultimate char, with trying to make a char correctly. The former is unachievable, the later requires an understanding of the game, and knowing the pros and cons of that build so any player can play it to its greatest potential.
Euro vs Chi chars:
You cannot compare the two races (sic). You can discuss the merits of choosing either one. What euro offers is different to what chi has for its options for char choices. One is not generally better than the other. You can say that one is better than the other for a particular goal, but thats up for discussion. How you play either race (sic) is also different, the equip choices different, the expectations different, the outcomes different. Euro was designed to work better in a team, chi was designed for flexibility in choices and versatility, either way there are always pros and cons to each.
When discussing in threads concerning build direction:
Lets take this metaphor of rock paper scissors game.
"Always scissors"
"But scissors looses out to rock, so it sucks"
"Scissors with sosuns pwns man"
"Nu uh, rock with sosuns pwns more man"
... doesnt make good discussion now doesnt it...
What they want to know is that they should stick two fingers out to play scissors, and that scissors naturally looses out to rock. Identifying how to play scissors correctly, and what are its "rocks" are more important and constructive for the new player that just started playing scissors.
Evidence:
It is perfectly fine to discuss in the hypothetical. It forces players to think, and begs for evidence to surface. You do not have to have played a particular char build to be an expert in it, but if you make an assumption or a suggestion, at least point to a relevant thread or guide if one exist, or a pvp vid that would help get your point across, or a detailed discussion or calculation if you feel the need to be assertive. Saying something is correct because you said so, or insulting someone just because it doesnt sound right is not constructive.
Finally:
Just be nice about it, players will read your post if you mean well in helping them. Most of us here like to help new players go the right direction. We all started out lost with this game, and it is not always a pleasant experience making too many mistakes.
Note: sry for the rant <.<
