Sould I as a Wizard go Pure INT or hybrid ?
Q as in the topic
If you are going on wizard, you must go pure int to get anywhere. So go pure int and sub bard for Noise.
I must warn you tho. A full int is very fun earily on, but their tanking ability gets worst and worst relatively at you level up. I have a full int chinese sword + sheild at lvl 44, wearing the latest armor (not protector or robe). She have around 1800hp or so. When I figit Mujigi (level 49), they can critical me for 1700-2000 damage. On the times that they critical me for 2000 damage, I will get one hit killed so the potions are useless. What that means is, at level 44, I sometimes cannot tank even one hit from mobs who are only 5 levels above me. And once again, keep in mind that I am wearing armor not protector or robe. As a result, I have to downgrade myself and fight bunwangs. I can kill them fast, but overall I get very little exp because the level of the mobs are too low. My guess is, by the time I reach level 60, my character will have trouble tanking level 60 mobs 's critical one hit.
What you can learn from this? If a full int with armor cannot tank, then a full int with robe will tank even worst. And farming mobs who are low level will level you up extremely slowly. In conclusion, wizards should be full int, and use Life Control to kill what they can just barely one hit kill.

If you can't take dying alot and running away from giants everytime 1 spawns in your area and you have no berserk then don't bother with pure int...
i'm like 90% hybrid wizard...and i can tank about 8-10 power earth ghosts at level 64 using 54-57 gear. Only using recovery division and 50% heal cap...i can also 1 shot pretty much everything that a pure int can do too...
little less damage but more survivability or more damage output but most probably get 1 hit by anything even 10 levels below you...your decision

go int but prepare to die 50+ from levels 20-30's .. after that you'll have a considerable amount of HP and if you play smart you'll die a little less
also, if you dont have a sub yet take bard for noise, its a must when grinding
one more thing, giants your level are your worst enemy
