--> Blader Questions <--

Post by DeathBeforeDishonor »

Hi everyone
I got a few simple questions regarding bladers, It would be great if you could help me out. So here they are:

#1-What would be the best way to lvl a blader?
Level 1 --> 70+ with a Bow then delevel it (i will be playing on a new server so i will have little gold :( )

Level 1 --> 80 with Blade (will take a long time but saves gold and SP)

Another way, Please explain in your post.

#2-Light vs. Fire Imbue, I have ALWAYS used fire imbue with str builds but im considering using lightning this time. My reason being that bladers use alot of SP and im thinking of only lvling light and bicheon to keep the gap low and when im higher lvl il raise fire or il only lvl fire and bicheon and lvl light when i get to a higher level. So tell me what you think...

#3-Are bladers a fun build to play with?(Only answer this one if you have had a blade before that was lvl 35+ please)

#4-How good are they at PVP at HIGH level now with the new chain and effects?

Also please dont vote unless you do know what you are talking bout, i dont really want false info lol.

Thank you :)

Don't bother with a blader. Make a Pure STR bowman and you will OWN :P

What if you spend a decent amount on a blade? say..50m-60m and so you got something to compare too..a Sosun +7 full blue with decent stats would cost 900M-1B. So if you spend around 60M on a lvl 72 blade think you can kill people?

If you ask me if you want to make a blader then make one. Don't let someone else tell you not to do it because they think they suck or anything like that since each build has their own strengths and weaknesses. As for your questions:

#1: 1-80 w/ blade w/o a doubt, although if you plan to sp farm @ the den you should get bow up just for that.

#2 Fire should be your imbue. Reason is fire has the phy dmg buff and mag defense buff.

#3 I think they're very fun. Moves look cool and you're able to tank a lot of mobs (I can tank full on yarken spawns of elites/champions and not die). However fun is different from person to person so idk if you would have as much fun and they do take a while to grind.

#4 The status effects really help, however I have little experience of capped pvp because of my 9 gap. Generally though you should be able to kill others if you know how to do things right, although it can take a while to do since bladers were really meant to be a tanking build.

I do still enjoy my blader (level 7X - yay, I can finally say 7X) - but then again, I have little experience in any other builds.

They are slower on killing things, mainly because they do less damage. Some of it is solved when you have all the crowd control skills (soul blade, snake sword and petal sword), as they are great on attracting mobs. Most of the time when I grind, I can not see my own character, because there are so many mobs on me.

For grinding purposes fighting, you can't be killed unless you start grinding on mobs 10 levels higher than you. Considering your damage, that is not advised to do as it takes you a long time to kill monsters 10 levels higher.

For PVP, I am yet to have the division and bleed additions, but at late 6X and early 7X skills, we suffer a lot - often you are unable to kill nukers or glaviers that is your own levels - however, they can not kill you either so I guess it evens out. Nukers your own level are killable once their snow-shield runs out (and they somehow do not chicken out and run into the safe-zone).

With fire-vs-light, I would recommend fire. Anything that helps you deal more damage is a must. I would not rule out light without testing it with the crowd control skills - if they transfer for each hit, then it could be a winner for grinding purposes. I do not think the fire imbue extra damage is so much higher that it is a big loss, but lack of the fire passives however, will be hurting you. Magic defence (for pvp), status reduction (for pvp) and the +% physical damage (for grinding) will most likely be your biggest losses.

full int that doesnt use nukes

that is stupidity of the user, nothing to do wif build

i'm currenly lvling wif 2 gap for my blade, no sp farming, only lvl up fire and bicheon skill trees and only the necessary skills in grinding (eg. things like fire shield u can get it later at higher lvl)
allocate ur sp to ur bicheon skills 1st, u can always let ur fire mastery lag 1 lvl behind ur bicheon mastery

i will do the farming at higher lvl like 64, 72...

it will be slow, yes, but if u can bear wif farming 200k sp at bandit den, go ahead...

2. light vs. fire
light lowers parry ratio of mob so u kill the mob faster, but u may wannna keep to fire cuz of the flame body and passive which will + phy attck
when u lvl light, u gets
piercing force + mag attck (u are str, u can get this later when u sp farm)
concentration + parry ratio, mob hits u less, but ur phy def is alr gd enough
speed

juz compare urself, i thought that phy attck is more important as blader already has the lowest dmg in game, but if u prefer speed, go ahead lvl light imbue

in cSRO at least where there is 90 cap, new stab skill of blader stabs 4 times...which means ur enemy has much less time to pot, but that is the 90 cap
Mercury Blader 5X
9 gap farming lvl 60 @ yeti
Guild: Death_Note

Very keen in making another build:
Warlock/Cleric
