should i go prot or garm?

I am in protector as well. I think it is better for grinding since most mobs are physical and of course against fighting str players.

However only lately it seems that in pvp its the hybrid nukers that are my biggest fear. If they can tank 1 of my crits followed by a 2nd strong shot. Then I have to throw up my snow shield and hope for the best. When fighting most pure STR characters I don't need my snow shield to tank there attacks.
So garms would work as well.

I would recommend starting out in protector though, you can always switch later.

BTW there are very few hybrid nukers out there, and a lot more glaviers. So yeah what ever you feel like.

i'm L78 so switching wnt be an option since i have to max blue 1 set lol

If you are 78 then you should be telling us which builds give you a hard time and which don't.

i'm wearing prot, but i have 9 gap farming so i cnt rly tell yet which builds can kill me cz they all do atm lol, i'm wearing prot to farm, but i'm thinking of using fire instead cz if i get ice i cnt become immune to ice.

Why can't you be immune to ice? I only have lvl 32 fire and i will be immune.

BTW do you have snow shield? If you do what lvl?

i'm doing fine with protector against all types of builds. i thought about wearing armor in lower levels (lvl70 now), coz i always got crashed by glavies, but it changed and now they have to fear me int chars doing good damage, but with mana shield thats ok. i would wear protector, with garment u might get big problems against str chars (since euro str chars are strong too, and they will kick ur ass in garms)

Baka, is clear that you dont see this build doing pvp so dont give arguments if you dont have experience on that subject. Im lvl80 hybrid bow (1:1 not 70:70) and pure str glaives are the most easy to kill to my build. I use prot but considering changing to garment mainly because of that Ive stated on the previous line.

sry my mistake, if ur ice/light u can become immune to ice but it would take along time to get enough % on jewelry and also WHEN lvl100 cap comes out and u chose ice u cnt become immune then, correct me if i'm wrong, i also found out dat a 70:70 bow build doesnt have enough mp to use the full 50% of snow shield, again correct me if i'm wrong plz.

You dont have to max the snow shield to make it effective. You can add mp using blues on the head/chest/pants to help with that. As for immunity, you can travel with a cleric or, the %'s on jewelery increase every two degrees, at 9 degree we should see an increase of 5% so that would make those without the fire tree immune if thier jewelry are perfect.(logicaly speaking)

u sure thats correct? every 2 deg the % goes up? and running around with a cleric isnt dat smart, there isnt dat many around...... atleast i not seen dat many on eldorado.

Hmm i dont know about that, but i 1 hit a 70:70 bow. His name is kangalheiro from Sparta. It was 15k i think. He had sosun protector leg and chest.

Since when was "That" spelt "dat".

Also I am not sure but looking at what the jewels have done since degree 1 to degree 8 its logical to say that % will rise at degree 9, but then again this is joymax they are anything but logical.

'dat' is a short abbreviation of 'that', dnt u think they both sound the same when you say it , and baka u seriously 1 hit a 70:70 bow with sun parts O.o, I'm L77 70:70 bow with ful lblue +5 prot and +5 max blue bow, but i never got 1 hitted b4, not even by sun, especially with snow shield even without they dnt 1 hit me, they just rape me in couple of skills.

If you tell me that you can hit on a lvl80 char with good gear and full buff for 15k I cant believe you. Ive already fight all the suns bowers of my server and none of them is close to hit that high on me and, as I already comment on another post, I kill 2 sun pure str bow because with my snow shield I was critting higher on them that they crit on me (12,5k and 12k with 72+5).


As I already ask you on the damage contest thread, if you can find any guild or union mate who can lend you 72+5 Im really interested on doing some direct competition between you and me. You are pure str you should not be afraid to loose on that competiton .

Yup, I am not. But I don't get on often now. I can't remember if it was with snow shield or not.... but I think it's without.

im also have 1:2 spear at level 75, i can tank good...this 70:70 should have more phy def and HP.I the spear can why not the bow?

I never try any garment until my new pure str bower...do garment+ice buff can cover the phy damage the same with prot?

i think using the ice buff with the passive gives mre phy def between garm and prot, not too sure..............
