I am making a s/s char, and I want to know if 2:1 is a good build. thx in advance.

Nope, you'll deal crap damage, if you're s/s it's best to have your balance somewhere around 90% and most s/s go pure.

s/s=low damage
hybrid s/s=really low damage

Go 50:50 (1:1) spear

The problem is, I want to be able to tank, but not go pure strength. I just don't like depending on crits for damage. Would 9:1 be best for me?

bcz someone wrote a guide about it, it doesn't mean they automaticly pawn...
however i think it's a good build, but i was already thinking that for months


if the same question would be asked to you, 2 months ago, you would have said it was a crap build.

I think it will probably work just fine, I just don't know any high lvl with that build.

Basic rule of SRO
Pure STR low damage, except for occasional crit
Pure int High damage, magic attacks don't crit.
Hybrid: aspects of both catagories.

So sure you won't do as much damage as a pure INT, but you will do tons more damage then a pure STR.

I can tell you for a fact that if you aim for a 80-85% magic balance naked you can still nuke effectively and probably the best 1vs1 build.
70:70 will probably work as well,
You will be able to run Snow shield with either balance and for 2 min tank like a pure str bladder.

If you go hybrid S/S you wont deal big dmg...believe me

Go spear, you'll tank and still deal high damage.

eh not true, depends on how hybrid you are and what weap you got.
